In my GCMS notes the QA was in the notes, near the end of the pdf file (it was something like: "identified in QA exercise, do not process until further instructions"). I think that because of this note my medicals have not shown up on ECAS yet.

It looks like QA is selective, so not everyone is affected. In your case, your file is being processed normally so you should get in process soon.

Yes my ECAS is updated with medical received. But I also just received my GCMS notes a couple of days ago and nothing suspicious shows with regards to the "pending review" or "QC check" or so on. Maybe I might have missed a special flag indicated in the GCMS notes. In which section did it indicate in yours that your application is "under QA and should not be processed until further notification"?

Ok I'm starting to understand how the Notes portion at the end is being structured. The latest note would be the most recent update done to your application; all subsequent notes would be a historical track of moments in time when a change has occurred in your application process. Mine says in Note 1 (i.e. the latest update) that my application has arrived at CPC-Ottawa in mid July. Note 2 states that "File Transferred to CPC-O for Review" in late June, which is probably the same note you have received. I think it just means that your file has left Sydney for Ottawa, which is a good sign!

Hi,

My note 3 in the end of June was: "File transferred to CPC-O for review, same as yours"
Then, note 2 in the beginning of July: "File has been identified in a QA exercise, please do not process until further instructions"
And the last note, ten days later: "CPC-O PNP O&E entered - Destination Ontario - Officer review"

I hope that the last note means that my file passed through QA and is now transferred to an officer for processing..

The only thing that I can see that happened after the last note was a move of my file to another location, but still in Ottawa...

I see, yes that probably means that your application passed the QA exercise. Under the "Paper File Transfer History", I noticed that my application was moved internally in CPC-Ottawa from "Location: Registry" to "Location:NCC". Wonder what that means? At the rate that GCMS notes take like 1month from the point you apply to receiving it, don't know whether it will be too extreme to order a new one every week so I'll get weekly updates on my PR application status haha.

Well, I don't know what those locations mean. I am just glad it is in Ottawa now. Can you actually make a request every week? Perhaps the system won't allow you to file a new one before you get the results from the previous one... As to me, once a month is OK, anyway processing will take a long time and we can't speed it up.

True, guess I'm too eager to have more regular updates than once a month.

May I ask when u ordered ur GCMS notes?

It could be because u ordered it so early that QA is not written down in ur notes.

This is crazy! The OPNP took enough time as it was for the nomination portion (took 11 months to get my certificate), now that I was feeling a little bit more at ease trusting the federal process would go more efficiently, these rumours start to float around? Is there any way to track your application before you receive the AOR? How does GCMS work exactly?

Ordered mid July, got the notes mid Aug. Status update in the notes was as of end July. I just ordered another set of notes mid Aug which I'm anticipating to receive mid Sep, so we'll see at that point whether I'm going to be one of the "lucky" few to be selected for QA.

GCMS notes is a very detailed status report/track of your PR application. You'll be able to view detailed write-ups of every handover and progress update in your PR application.

Here is an old post describing most of what you need to know about how to order GCMS notes:

My application received at CIO Sydney---25-8-2014.

So when is the best time to get GCMS notes? Once you receive an AOR?

There's another forum with almost a similar name. To avoid confusion should we post in that one only and close this one?
