Hi gbatista,

I wrote them on the same day my passports arrived, I'm guessing they will be replying next week.

Thanks for the info.

Passports on the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Hello Guys,

I am glad to tell you that I just received passport requests!!! I am sooooo happy!!

Just a few questions as I need advice:
- In the PR letter, they don't mention my wife. However, I assume that she is included. Is that correct?
- They gave me 15 days to send the passports but I have two business trips planned for the next month. Do you think they can give me an extension to send them?

Best regards!!

Pablo

Reply to the e-mail you received (without changing the subject and keeping the existing text so that it gets routed to the person who sent the e-mail) explaining the dates of your business travel. They may be able to do a fast turnaround (if you offer to send a courier label) or give you an extension.

Before requesting an extension keep in mind that the validity of the visa is defined by the expiration date of the medical exam or the applicant's and dependent's passports. The medical exam is valid for one year from the date the medical exam was started (i.e., if there was any follow up or if x-rays/lab tests were done on a different date from the medical exam, the earliest date starts the clock running). Sometimes, if everything else is ready, the medical was performed within 12-15 months, and the only thing holding up the visa issuance is the medical exam validity, CIC may extend the medical exam for a year but you'd need to ask them specifically if they would do this for an extension.

Hello Belle, so happy for you and your husband. I am a little bit worried jeje I haven't received yet the e-mail with the passport request. I don't know why is the delay. But congrats to you. I hope you remember me and my husband from the COA meeting in Mexico City. :D

Hi! Of course I remember you! Don't worry you will get your PPR soon, maybe our process was faster than usual because I'm pregnant so they speed up to give me the chance to give birth in Canada.

I don't think you are delayed, according to the chart you are still on average time. I know how stressing this waiting is, but hold on I am sure your time will come soon. Best wishes...
