The CIC works in mysterious ways!

Hi Everyone!!

This is my first post since we applied for FSW Canadian immigration. Application was received by Canada office 2nd week May 2014, PER was received 2nd week Aug 2014 and we were informed that Mexico City is our assigned VO (we live in Haiti). The 2nd line was updated that our application is sent to the VO and is under processing. End of Nov 2014 we received the police certificates request and were also asked to pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) and had 60 days to comply (which we did in due time i.e. 20 Dec 2014). Since then there is no update; no email, no status update, nothing.

People who applied after us have already received their MR but we are still waiting. We did send an email to CIC a week ago and are still waiting for a response. Any suggestions?

Hi, so you received PCC and RPRF on the same email but no MR? That's weird because the three usually come together. In my case I received the email asking for MR, RPRF and PCC but apparently they forgot to attach the actual MR forms so I wrote them twice and raised an inquiry and a week later they sent me the forms.

Did you raised an inquiry already? Also in your emails start by listing your name, date of birth, UCI and reference number, at least that worked for me.

With that timeline they should've been in Canada by now

Hey Nynameispepe, to what email adress you raised your concern?

I got medical request but NO RPRF?

Should i wait, or just ask?

Hi gbatista, I used the same email address from which they sent the PCC, RPRF and MR request, MXICOIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca. Did they ask you for anything else besides MR?

I don't know if you should contact them asking for your RPRF, I think it's a bit early for that. From what I've read they should only be contacted to report some change on the application or to express concern over abnormal delays or missing info. I guess you could also ask for more input on this on the main FSWP 2014 thread or the October applicants thread.

They just asked for MR, i guess ill wait till next week.

Thankd pepe

Hi mynameispepe

Yes - did send an inquiry more than a week ago starting with all the details you highlighted. How long does CIC usually take to respond to inquires?

In my case it was a couple of days, keep in mind that yesterday was a holiday in Canada.

Hi Folks!!, Seniors and anyone who has an idea about this:
It's been more than a month since I sent POF to MCVO and no response. I actually sent it via email, just like they said and via the enquiry web site and by April 23rd I received an email acknowledging receipt of the POF and telling that such POF will be revised and to keep emails to minimum.
Does anyone know if they check all the files and only when they finish is when they come back to those like mine with the POF pending?

I checked some other forums but nothing related to the time frame these official have to check after receiving a proof of funds.

Any insight on this, I would really appreacited.

Un abrazo

I think you would probably be contacted again by the embassy in approximately 2 months from the date they confirmed receipt of your POF or 2 months from the date they they requested for the POF. So approximately two months from either of those days would be your lucky day . That is my prediction, so keep the HOPE ALIVE :)

Hello

I have received MR today. And they are asking for proof of relationship with my wife.

One question, was I supposed to get RPRF ? Or Am I supposed to pay it without they asking for it ? Does this come in a separete email?

Thanks in advance for any response.

PD: It was 50 days earlier than when I wss expecting them. And I am from Venezuela for the Chart!

Regards

First of all Congrats, the waiting time for MR starts to decrease at the end, BUT the passport request time tends to increase since most of the people is now in that stage.
