Yes, it's the Montreal office, but on the envelope it says CIC, Eastern Region, Immigration Directorate, which sounds so much fancier!

Have a good trip down, Tomorisu, and congratulations in advance!

Sorry to hear that you haven't received the letter yet. I hope that you get it today or soon.

Thanks Tomorisu! I don't have my landing letter yet. I guess it will come sometime soon. The call centre advised it takes up to 8 weeks. The call centre staff are trained on the maximum for every step!

I just came back from Montreal. I'm a PR now!

To go to Montreal from Quebec city took 3.5 hours because of traffic jams. My landing place was Service Canada, not the local office. There were about 30 peoples in the room. I waited 40 minutes until I was called. I was the last person. :P

A nice lady checked the undertaking, CSQ and my passport. After she asked us 3 questions, I signed COPR. Then I waited about 5 minutes and another lady came to me and gave me a permanent SIN.

That's it. :D

I'm deeply grateful to all in '2012 Quebec Inland Applicants' for your help. :) :) :)

Félicitations, Tomorisu!! Yes, I guess we should have warned you that the Pont Champlain is even closer to falling into the river than usual and our first snowfall was yesterday. So glad you made it to become a PR!

Merci beaucoup, QuebecOkie et kanadskazena!

We didn't cross the Pont Champlain. One of my husband's co-workers warned him about it. We took the tunnel. Anyway, we are very exhausted, though we are happy. I hope that kanadskazena's turn is soon!

I received my landing letter today. I will be landing on the 8:30 am on the 12th December.

I should have known they would book me at the Service Canada downtown though!

Thank you and congrats, jg! Finally! I'm glad to hear your news!
As QuebecOkie said, the undertaking and CSQ are important! And they give you new SIN, so don't forget your temporary SIN card. ;)

Merci! et félicitations!

Jg and MsJMO. The room is 036? If so, it's a small room next to Service Canada.
I arrived there at 10:00 a.m., but the door was opened at around 10:20. They didn't ask our name when we went into the room. And we were not called on a first-come-first-served basis. So, you don't need to go there too early. ;)

Hello all. I landed on November 28th. :)

Congrats on your landing! What time were you at Service Canada? 8:30? 10:30? If you were there at 10:30, we could have chatted together. ;)
