That's exciting, MsJMo! Was it a snail mail or an email letter?

Sorry for the delayed reply! It was sent via snail-mail. We got the photos and had the letter delivered back to them on Friday. Hope you hear something on Tuesday!

does the new requirement apply for Quebec family sponsor? (the three years proof of income)

Is there any different between Quebec sponsorship for people who has CSQ and living in QC?

from what I read in their site people who applying from QC will need to prove only one year of income.
did I understand it correctly?

Please advice?

Hi done,

You might have better luck if you post in the Inland 2013 forum, because, as you say, things have changed since 2012.

It looks to me as if the financial form (IMM1344E) is still not for Quebec residents, but it may be that Quebec now asks for financial information when it asks for the CSQ. This wasn't the case when I applied.

Hi, sbea026. Congrats on getting your landing date. :D I didn't think you haven't landed yet. Montreal office is busy??? ???

Got my health card in the mail today. :) ONE MORE important piece of mail, and then at some point my drivers license, and then it's allllllll over.

Already started my french classes at montmorency college, just received my Maladie card by mail, however my FBI fingerprint application is taking for ever, 8 weeks already(certified, overnight shipping by mail), gonna call them tomorrow, I know there's a new FBI policy for applicants since October 12th as follows:
"Due to upcoming changes in processing, effective October 12, 2013, the FBI will no longer be accepting return self-addressed stamped envelopes with Departmental Order requests. Envelopes received postmarked after this date will be destroyed. Thank you for your patience as we try to streamline our processes to improve our service to you."
:'(It's getting on my nerves. This is the only thing holding down my landmark date.

Hi snp,

I hope that the FBI speeds up. I wonder if the government shutdown is also affecting their processing speed.

I called about our change of address. According to one CIC agent, government mail cannot be forwarded. So, we should have changed our address with them by phone and not only on e-cas as soon as we moved, and certainly as soon as we saw that emails displaying the old address were being sent. Another CIC agent claims that no mail has been sent recently to us.

It's definitely affecting our processing time because of the shutdown, I know some friends relatives who are in the military and didn't receive payment for 2 months and are about to loose their houses, some close friend of mine who applied for a US passport have a delay of 45 days already, when the US government shutdowns, all federal offices are shutdown as well as FCC, FDA, FBI, military, Immigration offices, health care, etc, etc. Th

Just called the FBI and they confirmed just put my fingerprints results by mail, I should receive it within a 10 days max. Thank's god!.

Congrats on your health card and drivers license! I guess you will receive your PR card next week. ;)

Today I received my SIN card. It's a temporary one, though...... :p

Hi all,

Is it possible to contact the Montreal landing office by phone or email? I would like to ask them directly whether they have written to my husband. Perhaps someone who has received a letter from them has a way to contact them?

Thank you.
