CONGRATS, abcd84!!! Almost DONE! Out of curiosity, when did you start your application?
I started my application the 27th of August, don't worry, you're next to have DM! :P

Not seen a reply off jg84 in a while, wonder where she's at.

Hi kidviocious1, thanks for asking, well I have been checking up but at the moment I don't have much in common. My file at the moment is at the stage of, they made a document request, which was actually to be received by the office the 18th May, today. They have had for quite a while now, I sent it ages ago but right away I knew that it would be at least today before they open my file again.

As far as I am aware, there is just this information they are waiting for,, I just hope it gets processed soon. (It was just 4 months I missed on the Schedule A and Current Information).

btw I am a he.

Congratulations to everyone who got their DM's and their landing dates!

I'm should not be far away from receiving my DM.

I just wanted to advise that I have been updating the spreadsheet on a regular basis from info posted on the forum.Everyone's timeline is up-to-date.

Oh good you're still with us :) Sorry for calling you a she also.

I guess now they've received the document you'll be soon to hear DM. And thanks for keeping the spreadsheet up to date still.

6 days til landing. Anyone else 24th?

:) Yep, you were right! It did came sooner that I expected!

BTW... Just wondering and out of curiosity, is there 2 offices in Montreal? My landing will be at Complexe Guy-Favreau inside Service Canada, and I read some others that went to an office near the Bell Centre ...

I think so, I thought the interview was at the CIC but instead is at Service Canada. Perhaps it's a slightly different procedure for who is already here on a work permit. The letter says I will be able to renew my SIN at the same time. However, happy Victoria Day to everyone! :)

Hi,

Yes indeed, there are 2 office @ Mtl. The interview will be at 1010 Saint-Antoine Ouest on May 30.
I have to bring all original ID docs used for the application and/or passport, immigration papers, MICC and QC selection certificate, 2 photos and of course my spouse.

No mention about the SIN that could be done at the same time. However, the Service Canada office on Rene-Levesque is of 5-10 minutes of walk distance. So basically, it can be done right after. I have OPW.

Maybe they have a huge back log and the interviews may have to be in 2 locations.

About the SIN application

Just been reading about it, and says the only acceptable form of document is a PR Card if you applied within Canada - HOWEVER, I have seen other people on this forum get it, so wondering if anyone remembers or knows what they used ?
It says COPR with visa counterfoil etc are accepted but only for applications outside Canada. Maybe it depends who serves you on what they know about this? No idea.
I think my interview is next out of everyone, but if anyone has previously had theirs and is reading can you let us know if you applied for your SIN?

People who have deadline for CSQ on May 18, does any got any news from CIC? I got my CSQ in March 21 and send it out right next day, so far, I have no news from CIC about my AIP. Just wonder......

You can phone CIC call centre to check they received it, but generally it can be around 3 months for AIP. Some people just get lucky with quick ones.

Though my deadline was 13th May, nothing happened. I'm also waiting for my AIP. Many applicants who sent the app in October or in November are waiting for their AIP, too. My turn is after them. I hope they receive it soon. :D
