Hello! I have a question.

I read the following at other topic.

''CIC vegreville informed me that everyone gets email notifications unless they are applying from quebec. They will get snail mail notifications. ''

Is this true? You guys got AIP and DM by snail mail??? About CSQ, it's true. MICC sent me CSQ by snail mail. But, CIC will inform us the notifications by snail mail? Not e-mail?

Sorry to tell you, I got no email, only a DM letter in the post. Funny how it varies between people?

Thanks! Then, when you got AIP, was it sent by e-mail or snail mail? I guess you wrote your e-mail address on the application form.

For me, everything came by email except for CSQ.

Thanks. Ah-, well then, whether my husband and I get AIP and DM by e-mail, it depends of our officer. Right?

I guess so, my case officer is LAD in case you wondering :P

And if you submitted the Open work permit application with the PR package, don't think you need to extend your visa though.

@chrischengwy
You are right! I called CIC today and the officer told me that I didn't need to extend my visitor visa. And she taught me how to withdraw my application. I hope they will give me a refund of the fee as I think my app isn't being processed. Thank you. You saved my money!

I also asked whether CIC has received my CSQ. She said yes. :D

All good then, they told you when they got it? It's pretty quiet here lately, probably cause CIC timeline didn't even move abit for 4 weeks now.
I'm trying to enjoy the late coming short spring and summer here, should help to make the waiting easier.
;)

AIP I also got by mail, they had my email address (I got my receipt of application by email). I don't know why they switched, email would be so much less hassle.

Hello Everyone,

I have sent my application from Quebec in DEC 2012. I received CSQ in March 2013. Is there anyone who knows when I could get AIP letter? Also, do I need to send a copy of CSQ to CIC ?

Thank you very much

Hello esthersun,
I'm as same as you. My app was arrived in Dec 2012 and I got my CSQ in march. I'm waiting for AIP. But, recently, CIC seems busy for DMs. We might have to wait for a couple of months until we get AIP, I think.
I don't think you need to send a copy of CSQ. MICC send it directly to CIC. But if you worry about it, you can call to CIC and ask it.
