It shouldn't be too long. I received the AIP letter yesterday

I agree with Mdna, most of the cases that I have seen on this forum that get an interview before AIP, are cases related to "insufficient" evidence where both parties are questioned to assess the genuineness of the relationship... That said, your consultant could be right too.mdna said:if they have transferred your file to a local office before AIP, this usually means they will most likely schedule an interview (for the couple), as they may be not sure if the relationship is genuine. let us know of any updates and good luck!
Hey!mdna said:we're still waiting for the CSQ... it's been a month and nothing yet! hopefully soon!!![]()
It's insane! Only a few months ago it said 11-12 months. I wonder what happened...lyn28 said:stage 1 processing time is now only 7 months! wow! congrats to those who got AIPs! Have a great week end and Happy thanks giving everyone!
yes, i was surprised, I read a post from 2012 inland, one of the march applicants got aip and medical recieved already! I wonder, maybe in a month or 2 his/her DM2 will be finalized. CIC is making a lot of improvement maybe. I know my timeline will be a littlle bit longer because of delaying my medical. Anyways, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!perkele said:It's insane! Finally!!!! Yes, it arrived today... I'm calling CIC to see if they have received a message from Quebec, or if I can do something so they realize that we've been approved.perkele said:Hey!
Did you get the CSQ finally?
CIC is now processing March applicants so hopefully you'll be getting AIP soon as well![]()
Congratulations, you should not have to inform CIC as this is taken care directly by MICC (and thank god they have a direct access and don't endup on the pile of mail...)mdna said:Finally!!!! Congrats!!! And like vinlander said, you shouldn't have to contact them. MICC is supposed to send it to the CIC directly and chances are, that they already have it and that the person on the line probably won't even know about it.mdna said:Finally!!!! Hey again!! I just looked back through our documents and found the letters from MICC in April 2012, to both me and my husband. Mine says, "We are pleased to inform you that your application on behalf of ....... has been approved."mdna said:unless you forgot to mention you got an approval letter and this is the landing interview, which would be wonderful!![]()
CSQ is given prior to AIP because it is Quebec stating OK that candidate is fine with us, telling CIC you may proceed with the sponsorship...That is being taken care of by MICC that will inform CIC, you don't have to do anything.tow75 said:Hey again!! His letter says, "We are pleased to inform you that we have approved the undertaking application submitted by ...in your favour." He got his CSQ along with this.
Is this AIP?? I didn't think CSQ's were given out without AIP. Could someone clarify this for me? If it is AIP I guess we don't have long to go. If not I have no clue what's going on! Our consultant said that applications are sent to MICC to be finalized.
When we check online through CIC, all we see is "application received" which is super infuriating. We have all the letters mailed to our consultant so maybe this could be why?
HELP HELP HELP!!
I am not 100% sure, but it could mean Not Required. I am not sure weither MICC has any authority regarding Interview, or if it is being taken care of by CIC under recommendation by MICC...mdna said:i'm also curious, on my CSQ it, on the interview field number 13 it says: NR - what could that mean? i wonder who decides if we're having an interview for AIP, MICC and CIC or CIC only? or MICC?
