Thanks, all, for the congratulations! No word yet on the second email.

Who wants to place a bet on all five of us having the same landing appointment?

Hello Tomorisu, here is my simple timeline

App filed Dec.03 2012,
AOR Jan.18, 2013.

We sent medical with the application. After AOR, we haven't got any update....

Thanks, esthersun! There is no information about my medical on e-cas. :( So, yesterday morning, I asked my husband to call CIC and to make sure whether CIC has received my medical. (When we call CIC, choosing French is easy to reach them. But my French is still poor. :'( That's why I asked my husband to do so. :P ) The woman told us that CIC has gotten mine. Phew. I was relieved to hear that.

UGH! So frustrating, that CIC can't even be consistent. My husband never received an email about being approved to sponsor, but I received my AIP email. And I know there were several applicants in the Inland 2012 thread who didn't receive their AIP emails, but their spouses received the approved to sponsor emails. CIC seems, from the outside looking in, to be a completely disorganized mess. I hope you get your AIP email soon, and that DM's not far behind!

False alarm; sorry. My husband received his AIP email at the same time as me (October 16). Good thing we didn't have to do an interview since it's clear that we'd fail when asked about spouse's email habits.

That's funny about the email. :D And congratulations!

The only messaging we've had lately is that they finally responded to the OWP we sent in the summer. It just said that they won't process it until AIP is granted - but at least someone has touched the file! Progress! ;)

There are only a few of us left and I hope for speedy announcements for everyone :)

HAHAHAHAHAHA! My husband (sponsor) never received any communication from CIC after AOR/CSQ request. I *asked* if he had checked his junk mail, and he insisted he had, but...well, you never know with him when it comes to "administrative stuff." :-D As Rafiki says in The Lion King, "doesn't matter, it's in the past."

I'm glad we didn't have to go for an interview! I'm pretty sure my darling husband now knows our "anniversaries" (yes, plural, we celebrate the day we met and the day we were married), but he's pretty foggy on a lot of details.

Hi lecoq. If I were you, I would call CIC again and/or I would try to get the GCMS note to know what happens. But I don't know the GCMS note well. If you are interested in it, please check other topics or ask it to other senior members.

The positive thing is that, if your background checks are already underway, it is more likely that you won't have a super-long time between AIP and DM. :) The background checks are part of the process for stage two.

Thanks a lot for your reply, i think i already have a long time aip-dm because its been 10 months since aip, in the website says 8 months, maybe i should ask the GCMS notes, every time i call (once per week) they say everythings fine just doing background check.

Other thing i have a work permit but it expires in january 2014, so do you think i should renew it in case i dont get DM soon??

Is your work permit 'Open Work Permit'? If yes and if I were you, I would apply for OWP by PAPER, NOT by online, around December, before your work permit expires. Because if you do so, you can keep working even if you don't get DM. And if you get DM, I guess CIC will refund the fee of OWP if it will not have been approved at that time.
