OK...I am in complete agreement with Scylla and I've just spoken TO a teacher who is certain teachers would not be in a list of demand occupations. Just look at the demographics. There are fewer young children, there are MANY teachers graduating from university and they are heading up to places like Ft McMurray (and staying there) in order to obtain work.
Looking at the list IN CONTEXT, read the paragraph before the list of occupations: "In 2011, federal, provincial and territorial governments focused their work with stakeholders on improving FCR processes for the second set of six target occupations. Consultations have been undertaken with stakeholders to ensure that these occupations meet the pan-Canadian commitment to timely service by December 2012."
As I read it, the governments are endeavouring to improve the EVALUATION of CREDENTIALS in these occupations.

Pippin has pretty much explained my reasons.

There are many teachers graduating from Canadian universities and not enough jobs for them. I know a number of Canadian trained teachers who are unable to find work right now.

well I do agree with pippin and scylla for such detailed explanation . Thank you seniors , kindly suggest would pharmacist stay in next NOC LIST

It is all crystal ball gazing, but I think Pharmacists are likely to remain in demand. Just a suggestion, but take a look at the individual health regions where you want to locate. Check out postings in hospital pharmacies.

Hi Seniors.

Any news about the changes in the points system for age? will they be implemented this July 2012.

What about NOC 7215 – Contractors and Supervisors, Carpentry Trades, does it stand a chance in the new list?

Please help with your inputs.

Thanks.
