It's called an ATIP request. The primary applicant (your father?) can apply for it online.

Its basically a copy of your application file with CIC that has all the officer notes, details on when different checks started/ completed etc.

The most important things are basically officer notes. Every time an officer looks at your file, they add notes. Those would give you some idea of what has happened with your file so far. During the ATIP request, they will ask for an email and will send it to you via email (takes about 30 days).

Just one question, when we suppose to get our passports back, do we get the call from courier service or email too that embassy has mailed the passports??

Where did you submit them? Ottawa or local VO?

If Ottawa, they dont notify. You just have to keep checking the return tracker.

If local VO using VFS, then VFS should email/ text when your passports are ready for pickup.

I believe the dependant would then be considered ineligible and not granted a visa. The other applicants should continue processing as long as their requirements are met.

Hello everyone,
I have applied to sponsor parents since 2011, I've sent security question forms on October 2016, 1 month right after sending their medical tests( September 2016),
My status still shows "in process"
we did @ the same time for my in Law's and they got their visa almost 1 year ago
I called and asked for my status, I was told that no new medical test would be needed till June 2018!
Is there any hope to get their visa ?!

1.we ve recieved madical result
2.we send correspondence on 9feb 2017 if u has not yet provided the information or requested documents plz have you do so as soon possible plz wait until u recieves the correspondence before sending us additional information as the correspondence outline all information that is required this is my status)
. But I ve sent all documents in 24 jan 2017 and 13 jan 2017 send Corior they delivered 4 feb 2017 and next paper requirements in June 2017 these requirements we have done after the we have send Mp request latter in nov 2017 and after that they update this status seen on my profile . Now on my status this . So but we do next becoz we have already send all requested documents . We haven’t recieved any email from cic spartly . We confused what we do plz tell me solution . We applied nov 2011. Too late

That's just an entry on your application status.

If you have provided documentation as requested so far, you are most likely fine. If you want peace of mind, the applicant or the representative can call CIC and ask if there is anything outstanding from your side.

Other than that, there is no solution to the wait, you just have to wait. You can order ATIP request to get a copy of your file for more details.

Happy to report that finally receive COPR for my mom after 6.5 years!!
She will do her landing by the end of January.

Received passports back with visa and COPR.
Applied: June 2011
Finished: Jan 2018
