Any persons in the forum whose files were transferred to Cairo visa office? I haven`t heard on my parents` file since it was transferred to Egypt in September 2016.

Hi All,

Just get the email from CIC regarding the pre arrival services, first, I show the one new message, and get excited that, I thought the Passport request for my parents, but it turned out to be Pre-arrival service email. so sad !

I am in the same boat too. My file is in New Delhi right now. My parents had their done their 2nd medical in June 2017. My mother has to go through finger prints too which was done in Jan 2017. I am so frustrated to see "in process" status online. Do they update online? Or what will be the next step?? How many chances of having interview of their dependent children??
Anyone have ideas please tell me

Hi I have a question regarding your remedical cause our status said MEDICAL RECEIVED ON 2016. Any by chance that we have to redo our medicals? As we email them we were told it’s with the VISA SECTION. Thanks

Usually MEdicals are only valid for 1 year. So if your last medicals have been completed for more than a year, from past cases, CIC will request another medical as i believe a valid medical is required to make a final decision.

If your medicals are still valid, there's a good chance that the Visa may be issued before they expire.

I emailed them several times but no reply this is regarding my moms supervisa she have valid visa and she visited me here before. And now I want to be with her throw Christmas. I’m so depressed because I can’t reach out no one in the IRCC in Canada it’s always automated answering machine. I’m starting to get stress with out appllication since 2011. I e seen parents who applied in the same year they left the country. I don’t know why and I don’t understand the standards and procedure that they are doing. It’s just so depressing....

On 7 nov 2016 .... ecas show that they send aa correspondent on decission but we receive nothing.
On jan 2017 they ask for proofs to submit
Then on june i won the appeal
On 21 june 2017 processing of file resumes
Medical done on 2 april
Ecas medical received in 9 april 2017 but nothing show about its results.
Till now their is no update by cic.

The trick is to call them right when open for business in the morning. Like they open at 8 AM, you should be on the phone dialing at 7:59 AM. Emails enquiries are a hit/ miss.

Curious, why do you think your mom cant be here with you for christmas if she has a valid visa?
Are you worried they might request a medical/ passport while she is in canada? You can get both done here too. Just make sure there is an email address on file so you get any correspondence via email rather than mail.

Yes I’m worried about the PPR and remember they said to email them for any changes. Soon will bring my mom here. The application is so depressing 6 years processing is not even enough for this application. The advices coming from you guys should be working with the immigration cause you all truly helping us out what to do NEXT.

Hi again another question, do I still need a proof of income for sponsoring my mom since she had her supervisa? Do I have to go through with this process again? I’m currently stay home for maternity and can my husband be the one to show the income? She had medical exam for the parents Sponsorship and might need another one again. Too much medical exam going on....

Are you applying for a supervisa for your mother? or does she already have one?
