Yes possible. Most probably start of next year under new yearly quota.

Your medicals are valid for 1 year. So good till July/ August 2018.

If there are no complications with background checks etc, you should be getting the PPR before your medicals expire.

I've had Medicals passed in April 2017 and apparently all the checks have been completed, waiting on final review of the file. who knows when that will happen.

Hello everyone,

I have not posted any update for a long time. I just want to inform everyone that I got passport request yesterday for my mom and brother. I applied for them in May 2011. Their medicals were done in November last year and in February they asked for DNA for my parents and my brother. But unfortunately my father passed in march this year..so I have to change all the documents since my father was the principal applicant . Then we changed my mom as principal applicant. Their DNA tests were done in April 2017. After that it's been a long wait. Last week I put an enquiry through MP as medical were about to expire in November 2017. Mp's only put enquiry if you haven't heard from cic from the last 90 days. Finally my wait is over after 6 and half years. Time to unite with family finally. I wish everyone a good luck !!!!

Just heard back from the MP's office.

apparently the Delhi office has a backlog of files waiting for 'Final Review' and not enough personnel to do the job and there are no guarantees/ timelines to when these files will be processed. Was told it may not be before the end of the year/ early next year and asked to check back in January.
