In general it is 1 year the time they receive the result and can extend sometime. If you have every ordered the GCMS notes that will tell you for how long medical is valid.

I wrote back to CIC and mention that i have already provided the medical last year in May 2016 and it is still valid until end of May 2017. They replied back that application is about to getting finalize and by the time it will finalize your medical will expire and you will not have enough time to prepare to come to Canada that is why we are requesting re-medical so you get enough time for preparation.

In my case The online file doesn't show the decision made. Strange world.

Did anyone get a ppr call.Its almost 1 month decision made on ecas no ppr yet ???

And one more thing after the medical done around after 1 month i received a letter for my moms pcc and and my younger brothers education details and who is not accompanying with my mom.10 days before the due date the cic delhi received the all document according to the courier company.(my mom is here on super visa so i got pcc from indian embassy vancouver.)after three weeks of the due date we received a second request of the same documents along with pcc.They did not mention that they received the documents or not.so again i send them a new pcc (indian embassy vancouver) along with the all other papers before the due date. and i also put my old pcc copy and the receiving stamp copy of cic new delhi and a letter expaining them that we already send you these documents.And on the due date they add one more line on my ecas reminding us about the documents before due date.And after 20 days of the due date they chanange my ecas to decision made on 2nd of march and tlll today i have not received anything yet.i am so worried about that decision made ??? ???

Last year letters for documents were sent out at the end of July.
Hopefully you will get something in the mail in next couple of weeks.

Sorry for the delay, yes they said security check is still on process. I have no idea what's keeping them so long. When all documents are already completed. My sister and my mom still on the process of background check. Thank you for giving me your precious time, such a relief

so did you do medical without request?

Yes it's done on August 2016. The doctor told us that the result has been submitted to Manila and my mom took the exam for awhile and issues has been resolve I think her medical exam was extended more than 3 months since August 2016 and she was cleared.

One thing I worry about is that their medical exam will be expired on Aug 2017 and it's costly a lot of money to re do the medical exam.

We emailed them and said our application is queued. Re medical is one of the big issue imagine how many person in the application and aside from that the medical in St. Luke it's not even funny how people line up and back and forward they have to travel from Province to Manila daily. And honestly it's really costly for us. The total person in our application are 6. Where have u done the medical exams?
