My family got their visa stamping and COPR. But we just noticed that family name(Surname) of Principal applicant is missing. we think it happened because it was amended on third page of Passport. They didn't saw that. Any body please advice if it should be corrected and can be corrected at Port of Entry by immigration officer.

Better contact the visa office with most urgent in the subject line and ask for correction so they can fix it. otherwise you have have issues at port of entry.

1.My Parents come back and forth from India to Canada on visitor visa. Now if the file is transferred from CPC M to India, would I be notified via an email ?? Also do they send email for medical exam as well. Last thing I want is CIC sending something and my parents being here with me in Canada and missing the papers in the mail. (I have given my email address for communication)

2. How long will take for approval, file transfer and medical request etc.

Sadly, as they continue to "fast-track" 2016 PGP and gear up to process 2017, it might be 1 or 2 years for every step, for all applicants prior to 2016.

Yes, but as expressed, be patient, as you are from 2011, all communication and every step is taking 1 to 2 years.
Please remember, 2016 and 2017 need to get fast-tracked before all previous years applicants.

June 2011 applicant, medical passed since Mid May 2016, Background check in progress since May 2016. Waiting for PPR. ALmost 8 months background check in progress.

Background checks for 2016 PGP applicants taking in average 2 weeks.

Hey,

They will send u or ur consultant(if u have one) email whenever it is approved. They usually send medical request after a couple of days or sometime together in one email, asking for additional document+medical.

File approval, transfer, and medical/additional document request takes approximately 6-8 months. If it takes longer than 11 months, call Cic helpline and they can help u.

Wow..this is crazy. I my case the GCKey shows back ground check in progress since Sep 2016. It cant take that long for a back ground check.

How do you order GCMS notes? What information does this contain?
