Hey MBML
Congrats on ur son's citizenship! If I were you I would not iclude him in my canadian application because it will slow down the process more. He is a US citizen, he can go to Canada with you without a visa can't he? If yes, why would you add him now? Why not let ur app take its course and once you get your PR you can lsnd with him and sponsor him while you are in canada

Thank a lot Zazu,

My son was included in my initial application and he was still an immigrant in US. If I only knew that his US citizenship would come out that soon I would not include him with my application. However it's also a good thing on his part because he doesn't have to renounce his status in US. I hope all of us will get a good news soon.

You are welcome MBML! I think your son is blessed either way :) Good luck to all of your family with Canada immigration too!

I am also a 2011 FSW applicant without job offer. Couple of hours ago I received the GCMS notes mentioning my file was transferred to Ottawa on July 07, 2012. Only the criminality is in progress rest are not started such as eligibility, back ground check and medicals. RCMP screening was carried out in May 2011 and says, no record is found. I don't know how they are performing RCMP screening because we were not advised for finger prints. Its almost 17 months has passed and CIC did noting to our file which is quite frustrating. One of my friend applied in April 2011 and chosen the London visa office for processing and he did the landing in July 2012. I applied in March 2011 and still nothing has happened.

Thanks again Zazu for wishing good luck for our Application. I am hoping the same for you and to all of us who are patiently waiting. God knows how we all feel and He will give the right way and the best for all of us. God bless to all. Always think positive and everything will be given in the right time and right place.

Edmontonion204,
I think, your case is still doing good because you applied in March, 2011 right? And I applied in January, 2011 and I have not heard anything except the first AOR! No file transfer notice, no other relevant info! But I am hopeful! :D I am sure all of us get some good news soon and my lawyer tells me Ottawa is historically known to be one of the fastest processing offices! As soon as Ottawa lines up all our files it should go a lot smoother and faster I hope!

OK Buffalo to Ottawa 2011 people let's keep it up! Literally because if you post a reply our discussion moves up the board and does not get lost in the ocean of posts in there.

Hi Guys,

I am also a 2011 Buffalo applicant. Me and my husband applied in August 2011 and have not received any communication regarding the file transfer so we are not sure if our file is being processed in Ottawa or in the US. Is there anyone who has not yet received any communication regarding file transfer? Our timeline is as follows:-

Category..............: FSW1
App. Filed.............: 08/04/2011
AOR Received........:10/26/2011
2nd AOR recieved...:01/06/2012
IELTS Request.......: Submitted with the initial application
File Transfer..........: Waiting
Med's Request.......: Waiting
Med's Done...........: Waiting
Interview..............: Waived hopefully!
Passport Request...: Waiting
VISA ISSUED.........: Waiting
LANDED................: Somewhere in 2012(hopefully!)

We have also applied for our work permits around 5 weeks ago and are waiting for the same to come through. My husband has signed up for a position in Canada and that's why the work permit application. Is it correct that having a work permit/job offer speeds up the PR process?

Hopefully, all of us would get a MR pretty soon!

Thanks,

Hello everyone,

I am also in. I filed my application in December 2011.

Regards,
Saur

my Ottawa status

eligibility: passed
meds: passed
Criminality: passed
Security: open, blank and No Due Date... (??)

(QSW, Inland App, Ottawa)

AOR : 3rd May 2012,with Meds attached (via Email from CPP - Ottawa)
Ecas Access: 7th may, and it shows: "Application for PR received 28th October 2011"
Meds Done: 8th May
Ecas shows: 23rd May Started Processing
Ecas shows: 7th June "Current Mailing Address" shows up
Ecas shows: 28th June Meds received shows up (Meds received by Office 26th June)
Ecas shows: 26th July "Current Home address" shows up

CAIPS generated 12/7/2012 Arrived 4th August via Email (25 pages)

One thing which doesn't make sense to ME is, the "Lock-in Date" 5th October 2011, which is supposed to be the date my file is being entered in the system at some point, but i sent my PR Application to Buffalo 28th October 2011. So, how does it work? but it doesn't matter, just a thing I've seen.

Nshukla thanks for sharing! And i geleive that's true, I have seen a quite bit of applications with job offers which were filed way after me has been processed by now. So, in comparison to no job offer, they go faster in my personal opinion/observation.
