2011 applicants with RQ during the test

I am approaching my 3 year mark in about 2 weeks.

Just ordered the ATIP last week, but I highly doubt there is anything useful on it.

so you wrote test in 2011 and got RQ on the same day ? what was the reason for the RQ, did CO tell you ? did you pass your test ? there are 2 other applicants like your timeline, meeru and daktrader on the forum. I am also a 2011 applicant but received pre-test RQ, so 36 months have already passed but no test yet. So you have at least done with your test, one step less than mine.

Wow, pre-test rq and you still wait for that long? This is unreal. Anyway, I got the rq same day right after the test. I have known quite some people are on the same boat. No update from anyone. Have you ordered ATIP?

I sent my app in Dec 2012.. about 1.5 year after you guys. But seems no hope from CIC. I got RQ after 2 Months of test and CIC is waiting for Christmas to review my RQ.. lol !

I had very similar case, applied on July 6 2011
Wrote my test Sep 24 2012 where the CO handed me a RQ right after the test
I have been told (by call centre) in Jul 2013 that I passed my test
Recent conversation with a CIC officer (April 29 2014) here at Edmonton told me it might take up to May 2015, may be longer than that date as well.
So in other words CIC telling you go away "do not disturb"

This is crazy. One more year to wait? But again those call Center agents are hard to believe.

jimmy any specific reason for your delays ?? 36 month is maximum on darktrader
reach 52 weeks....

my case reaching 30 month no response... pre test rq...

No specific reason I guess. Year 2012 was just a bad year in general in my opinion for all the RQ receivers.
Anyway, call center agent told me to call back again in July if I don't hear anything. I ordered ATIP, hopefully I can fin something useful.

Oh yeah. Tons of travelling, and I think that's why. But again a lot of people get RQ with barely any travelling.

jimmy1829 I just came across your post can you give a brief on your RQ case and how it got triggered and did you submit the RQ. so far did you hear back from CIC. what is your strongest point in your RQ? which can prove your intend to reside. did you discuss with other RQ people what did they advice on submitting the package. did u submit CBSA and OHIP record. I heard that CIC is more inclined to this 2 documents to decide once RQ.

I guess my intense travelling was the trigger, but those travelling happened way before my application. CBSA and OHIP is mandatory if I am not mistaken. Back in 2012, 8 out of 10 applicants got RQ with no reasons. That's probably just CIC's strategy, who knows. But I have a feeling, we will be next to be processed.
