I read some where else on the forum that someone else got the same email as you and they are also waiting for passport request... it sounds like it's automatically generated, I would think passport request will follow soon...I don't think it's a bad thing, don't worry!

I'd send a case specific email mentioning that your medicals are expiring and whether to redo them or await instructions.

Maybe when they see your email they may just send you passport request.
