I received both upfront and medical request.I chose not to do upfront because I don't see it as a real medical request. It simply says that your file is transferred and your medical was not done. The risk about doing upfront is you dont know how long it will take to ppr. If you wait until medical request, it feels like okay we already started your file and you HAVE TO do this within 30 days.

So by the end, it's up to you. They said it might speed up process but I personally don't believe doing upfront medical will help.

This decision of yours will simply delay your file by one month.
This really speeds up the process (I am telling you from my experience).

any news came? peoples who waiting there passport request? .medical done on 20 sept but no ppr yet. share your experience. my vo is delhi

done medical I May and still no news

my prediction, they clear old application first, thats why they hold sep 2010, and 2011 files.

my file was filled: dec 2009.

I don't think that is how they issue PPR. As visa is valid for 1year from date of medical, your medical date plus about 6months should be the rough estimate for majority of PPR for most people.

That makes sense. So ≈ 6 months after requested medical from CIC.
