Hi Winnie, yes this is normal. It takes a while for them to update ECAS. Even though I received the Visa, the last entry in mine shows medicals received and that was only entered about a month ago despite completing the medicals from around July.

All the best.

Hello everyone,

I have received a sponsorship decision email on Sept 28, 2015 notifying me the sponsorship is approved and my case then transfer to HongKong LVO. I got an email from HongKong LVO requesting medicals and additional documents for my parents on Oct 5. My parents medicals were done on Oct 9 and additional documents sent and received by HK Oct 20.

But my ecase status for sponsorship is still "Application Received", and for PR is "in process" but no update on medical received or not.

Is this normal? I am kinda worry.

Please share your thoughts or opinions.

Thank you!

It really varies from case to case. I have seen ppl getting ppr within a mth of their medical. My parents got medicals done in july with additional test in august and today my ecas got updated to decision made (86 days after medical test). But in my case there is a dependent as well and I'd say that was the reason for delay as we were asked for his police clearance and fingerprints after the medicals.

Thank you picky for the information, have you received the PPR request so far, my parents case is from 2007 and online status was changed to DM couple of days back, how much time it will take to get the PPR now

Congrats. Wish you get PPR soon.
My ecas changed to DM on Nov 2nd but no PPR yet. This waiting game is killing.

How long does it usually take once the medicals are received .
My case status shows medical received which were done in Aug.
Also additional documents and Police clearance was also requested which has been submitted.

Any idea ?

I have more or less similar timeline. They started processing the application on July 27,2015. Medicals are done and this also has been updated on ECAS but still "In process" :/ Hoping to see "Decision made" by next week...

Thank you Angelskiss! I hope I will hear something soon from the LVO as the medical has been submitted around a month now, but there is no further emails from the LVO nor updates on the Ecase.

I am worry because the ecase for the "sponsorship" part is in status "Application Received" despite the fact that they emailed me the sponsorship approval on Sept 28, 2015.

Thanks again Angelkiss!

Hi all, finally the long wait is over. Parents got their passports back from ndvo with the visa stamped and copr yesterday.

Jeleni, please update the spreadsheet.
Passport sent nov 3 and received back on Nov 10.

Neemann, this is another generic letter which a lot of other applicants have received. It just means that the office will now ask you to send your parents passport soon. Congratulations, almost there.

I did my parents medical in 1st week of October. I am still waiting for any correspondence or change in ecas.

Do you mind sharing what address you sent your parents medical?

Thanks

Absolutely, I emailed the receipts at cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca

Any idea on PPR timing???

I sent an email to CPC Ottawa and they told me to send the letter and receipt by mail to their address. It was a post box number. I am not sure if I should have sent an email

Hey

I sent the scanned copy of receipts in my email and their email acknowledged that they have received the Medical.

I was never asked for any hard copy.

You should do as asked now.

Finally a good news :) :) got PPR in email. But they didnt send any instructions regarding my brother who is already in Canada. Replied them back, now have to wait for their response before sending the passports.

I think it's better if you make a call as now the call center agent will have all the status of your application. This way it might be quick as compared to waiting for email response. You case processing center is Ottawa?
