My parents received a form IMM1017 for medical on Oct 14 2015 and completed medical on Oct 24 2015.

Then they also received a letter with IME (Immigration Medical Exam) number, in this letter there is a paragraph which states as follows

• If you have not yet lodged a visa application you must provide the health identifier ..... to CIC. Please make sure that you attach this letter to your visa application before submitting the form to CIC, This will facilitate processing of your visa application

I am not sure what does this mean.

The application status is as follows
Applied in 2010 for sponsorship
Application done in 2014
CIC Requested to sponsor get parents their upfront medical Oct 5 2015 and send medical report to CPC-Ottawa, no timeline provided when to get medical
CIC sent email to my parents to on Oct 14 2015 with IMM1017 to get medical done in 30 days
Medical exam completed on Oct 24 2015 and panel doctor informed that reports will be sent by him to CIC via eMedical

I understand that letters from CIC are standard texts but visa application part is confusing.

Anyone here in similar situation or gone through this, please comment.

I think CIC is just refering to the medical information sheet, the one which is required for upfront medicals. It tells visa office where to look info. But since you got the medical request you don`t need it. However to be safe side, just send the sheet to visa office via email. This sheet must have been provided to you by your doctor confirming e-medicals are done.

I received an email from cic that my parents should provide an original Upfront Medical Report form (IMM 1017B UPFRONT) or an E-medical upfront Medical notification Information sheet. I have also been told that my file is forwarded to CIC-Ottawa.

I have not not received any form and i am hoping the the doctor in Punjab shoud have this form??

Also do i need to tell doctor to forward the medical to CIC - Ottawa??? Or would the doctor know where to send the form (based on the email)??

Also there is no deadline for the medical??

Any input is appriciated.

my parents done their med few months ago ..all they got from cic was email for medicals

Hello to all forum member
my parents sent their additional and original documents on 17th of Sept, but my sister still didn't receive his original certificate back from NDVO. Anybody has an idea, how long usually ndvo take to send it back and usually how long is the procedure to check background, criminality and travel history etc. however my parents don't have any travel history, does it still take too long to check all these. please someone shed some light on this. Thanks

my mom also will done another xray on dec 30 .. our medical was done on sep 29
she also done 3 day spectum test
hope everything will be fine after final X-ray

Just to give you an idea, if sputum test will turn out as negative, i think final xray will only be a formality that everything is ok and it is part of the procedure to follow.

In my mom's case, when she had her final xray on Aug. 24, 2015 after sputum test, they saw a haze on her lungs, maybe because she had coughs during that time. She was given 7-day antibiotics by the panel physician and was told to wait for CIC's instruction within 3 months. they said CIC may ask for another xray. That's why i got surprised when i received the PPR on Sept. 30th, after 5 weeks from final xray. Which means, my mom's xray though there was a haze was cleared of any lung disease that needs immediate attention. Now, i can say that CIC is not that they want us to have a burden but they are also considerate if they think nothing is a big deal on the results of the medical.

So if your mom's sputum is negative, I think she will be done by first quarter of 2016

and what is the minimum time for passport request after final X-ray ?
