Any ideas how long it takes for the officer to review a file?

I got an email on August 4th that all the documents have been received and added to the file which is with an officer for review.

My case started processing July 1st 2015, they asked for new passport photocopies and police certificates during June and July.

Hello everyone!

I sponsored my Father with his dependents. Today he received a passeport request to submitt his passports for visa stamping. My father lives in Algeria. However, his two dependents study and live in Canada. The instruction letter states few options on how and to where to submitt the passeports. Option 1 states where to send the passport if principal resides in Algeria. Option 2 states that if principal and dependents reside in Canada to sent to Ottawa. The issue is, my dad is in Algeria, but dependeds are in canada (Did not see this option)
I am wondering if the two dependents need to submitt to Algeria or send to ottawa since they reside in Canada.

My other question, would they need to leave Canada and Land?

Today I.e 22 Aug 2015 Landing was successfully done at peace Bridge. The CBSA officer was so good that within 10 minutes Landing was done. She only asked about list of goods brought & on our reply that nothing had been brought she immediately Stamped PP with Landing date & welcome my father of becoming PR of canada & briefly exolained right of PR also informed that PR card will automatically be sent by CIC within 8 weeks. I am very grateful to you, Soonihope and all members of forum for their guidance & cooperation & prey to GOD to speedly complete processing of your Mother PR also of Soonihope & others Rgds

Finally get medical email from CIC today. ask for medical done in 30day but i have question if someone can help.

my mom gone through cancer treatment month ago with chemo therapy (last chemo going on this week). it is good to tell medical doctor that she gone through this treatment? what type of test they do?

if we not want inform medical dr then does they able to find out from any test like blood or xray. please advice as i think if we tell them they most likely denied my mom immigration visa. let me know does not have too much time to think and very confuse what to do...

heyy dont worry nothing will go wrong. Tell them everything because in the beginning they ask you if you have any disease and if you wont tell they will definitely find out from blood test etc.

Got the PPR but it stated to submit the passports in Canada where as my parents are not in Canada. I have emailed back to them to request to send another PPR to submit it in India. Our 30 days timeline is not going to be met for sure as the automated reply states to wait for 20 days for the Ottawa office to reply back to me. What should I do? Please suggest.
