Hi pinoypunjab. I'm sponsoring my dad with similar case (dependents below 22 at the time of submission now over 22). The dependency that requires continuous schooling is type B at the time of sponsorship application. My siblings belong to the Type A dependant but still I worry somehow since they stopped schooling and working already. Our application is also at the stage where medicals are done already, PCs etc submitted. The LVO requested some additional docs already and haven't mentioned any school requirements, no hint of any requirements related to that. I'm just holding on to the fact that they are Type A dependants which would secure their spots "hopefully".

I have reached out to someone with similar case though theirs is not PGP but sponsoring her son who came in canada by the age of over 26 independent, working already yet was type A at the time of application and then was still approved.

Now we're just waiting...

I think I may have realized a mistake on my document update. During the IMM0008 update, my dependent was declared as Type B since he is now over 22 yrs old ( 19 then on first submission. ) You said that if you declared Type A in the beginning that will lock their status to Type A regardless of age. I thought since CIC requesting an update that means I have to enter and answer questions based on current status. Also, during the document update the checklist specifically asked for:

1) Proof of continuous full-time studies of children aged 22 and above.
2) Letters from school indicating the number of hours of classes attended per day & days attended per week.
3) Proof of full financial support by parents since attaining the age of 22.

And you mentioned that you yourself are still worried if CIC might question your siblings status as dependents since they no longer attending school and are working already.

If I made an error with the dependent type declaration, I am hoping that CIC will figure this out.

This seems to me a gray area on whose who is suppose to stay in school and whether or not should be employed.

Is there anyone here that can clarify this? I would really appreciate any inputs. Thank you.

I suggest you resubmit an updated IMM0008, and profoundly explain the mistake you have. Attache a cover letter stating all the facts as to the IRPA & OP sections which states that your dependent is type A the time of sponsorship application and you honestly had a mistake of stating as dependent type b and therefore requirements for type b do not apply to your son. Write your letter intelligently as not to teach or instruct the VO but rather an information you just relearned which is now the reason of your resubmital of IMM0008. I assume there might be some delay but this is a better state to have. And just to be sure you may want to enroll your son to continue a masteral degree or another bachelor degree (and not short term course).

I can PM you some of the IRPA and OP you may quote in case you want to resubmit and explain.

In my opinion, I don't see resubmitting the form will hurt your application anymore than the mistake already made. It's worth a try, but that's just me. All the best.

I am very happy to see Champion Member appearing again in the form. Shall feel obliged if you kindly throw some light on following points:
(1)Med done on 20th May 2015 but Doctor called again on 3rd June 2015 just to tell that every thing in order & uploaded results to CIC on 4th June 2015 but till date CIC not showing receipt of medical but showing in process;
(2) How much is expected for PPR& immigration visa stamping;
(3)Whether on receiving back PP with immigration stamping can I go to my native country & get Landing certificate on return after.
(4) Is there any time limit for Landing . Thnx

My name is Ricky ( Parents are in India with one dependent). Here is my timeline:

I sponsored my parents in June 2010.
Additional document request ; 30 July 2014
Submitted : 16 September 2014
AOR: 5 December 2014
I did not hear any thing after this.

Is there any one who is also with the same timeline. Could any share why I am so behind as compared to other applicants, why I have to wait so long? Is there any one who also been through the same situation ?

Hi networkjas did you hear back from cic regarding your caps notes.if I remember correctly you were thinking of getting your notes to see what the reason for this delay was.

I am also beginning to wonder if getting caps notes would be useful. I'm just wondering if they actually write proper notes or if it's all codes and abbreviations that only cic can understand and make sense off.

Thanks for checking. I submitted last month so still waiting. You are right they might not be useful but hoping for the best....

Other thing which is common between myself and some of the other people who didn`t get sponsorship yet is that we have depended on file. I wonder if that's the reason although many people with dependent got their SA too.

Hi, My parents just got their medical done yesterday and was given a copy of the emedical form that was submited to CIC. Can some body please explain under the medical exam grading they both got grade A for 501 medical exam and B. A and B for 502 radiology exam as well. Does anybody know what that means? They were told that CIC will get in touch with them within 7 days for the results. Please advise if anybody has any info on this. Thankyou
