Hi First_Generation,

I have similar timeline as yours. I received my AOR dated January 16, 2015 after I submitted the documents last October 16, 2014.
after the AOR in January, I haven't received any letter yet. what should I be receiving next after the AOR?

here's my timeline:
Category........: FAM
Visa Office......: CPC-M
App. Filed.......: October 21, 2010 (Parents +1 dependent)
Doc's Request.: July 30, 2014 (submitted Oct 21, 2014)
AOR Received.: February 15, 2015 (dated Jan 16, 2015)

I have been waiting for more than 4 months since the last AOR.
please advise.

thank you!

Hi cristel. After AOR, typically next is medical request that is after file transfer to LVO (in my case CIC Manila). As to when, we could only guess. But please check the spreadsheet generated for similar 2010 applications so you may have idea / comparison. I borrowed the said spreadsheet link - please see my signature line. Hope that helps a bit to know how things are moving with other similar application timelines.

Just wanna add, between AOR and transfer to LVO, you should be receiving sponsorship approval first. After that, they will transfer your file to LVO or to Ottawa or Mississauga in some cases.

Oh Yes of course. Thanks Jeleni, I skipped a step :)

Many of us have submitted Meds over two months but no luck with PPRs. I have been wondering if CIC has some quota for this year which is complete. You think, they will issue rest in next year?

I guess only me, aujla, Zeeshan, 2010sponser Kgill86 and few others are left. We haven`t received sponsorship yet which is very weird. Today marked 6 months from my AOR. May be other got but never know because not everybody update their case !

Let`s hope sponsorship will be approved soon.

Hello, I received AOR Feb 12 2015 dated Jan 25 2015 and still waiting for sponsorship approval. Any one from that month still waiting like me?

Hi I also, submitted additional documents on Oct 22 2014 and received AOR Feb 12 2015 dated Jan 25 2015. I haven't heard anything from CIC yet.

Hi kgill86, eric leon, MNZ, aujla,

I haven`t recieved anything from CIC after AOR last year. Yes they told me that it typically take 6 months after AOR for sponsorship approval however no new news yet.

Are all you guys have dependent ? I have Parents+dependents. May be that is why there is delay ?

I think this is likely for some of us. When further documents were requested from us in July 2014 I think over 15000 letters were sent out. All of us plus the people waiting from previous years were not all going to get visas in 2015.

Therefore it maybe the case that CIC staggers the processing so that they have some people waiting for PPR, some waiting for medical request and some waiting for sponsorship approval. I hope everyone has received AOR after July letter.

Even in this forum we can see from our own posts these three distinct groups. Even if we take average of 2 people per application that is 30000 or more visas required for just our batch of applications.

I think this year about 20000 visa allocation is available to PGP category. Hence you may have a very valid point that this year's quota may determine when our cases are finalized.

Hi Soonihope,

I called CIC yesterday and they told me that approx 20,000 letters were sent last year (July 2014) requesting additional documents.
Like you said, if there were average 2 people per application it means 40,000 immigrants.
Based on facts and figures published by CIC (Link down there) approx 33,738 were granted PR visa in 2013 for family case alone. This number is up 21% from 2012.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/statistics/facts2013/permanent/01.asp

IMHO, looks like that when they send 20,000 letters last year they were expecting to grant visa (to most of them) by end of 2015.

I also think that the number of people included in the application might affect the processing time.

Our application includes parents + 2 dependents and we received AOR in early February and no news after that.

in my application 2 dependents and parents,i think my delay is becuse of removing my x frm application ,does anyone knows if i remove my x from application ,if i had used his income at time of application to meet lico will effect now if he is out
