Hi All,

I have applied for my mother's sponsorship in Dec 2010. She is in Canada on Visitor Visa. She will be here until Jun 2016.
Time lines are below
Application date: Dec 2010
New documents requested: Aug 2014
New documents submitted: Aug 2014
AOR received from CPC-M: Nov 2014. (eCAS still says application received for both, Sponsorship Application and Permanent Resident Application)

Can anyone please let me know the next processing steps. My mother is going to stay in Canada until Mid 2016. I am not sure if the file will be transferred to New Delhi. Is it a possibility that she can get her medicals done in Canada. Does she really need to go back to India to finalize her application.

Hi everyone, I got my AOR today in the mail. My documents were sent on 8 sept 2014. I guess they are working through applications as they were sent in. Many people have submitted documents around mid sept so you should all hopefully be getting your AOR in the next few days.

Hi everyone I got my AOR today . I submitted additional documents on Sept 2 2014. Hope every body gets their AOR soon and we all start getting acceptance of Sponsorships and then the medicals.

Also would appreciate if some one can share the information about the sponsorship approval. Do they send an Email or a mail.
I have heard that it takes 2-3 months for this step.
Thanks .

Hi, I send my parents additional documents in Oct 2014 hope cic can provide acknowledgement soon. How long does it take to process after this step if its processed in Ottawa partially? Also i assume last step is in New Delhi in my case.

Hey Guys,

I am applying for my parents immigration for 2015. I have sent all the documents to India for them to sign and now the tricky question - what date should they sign the application for? December or January1st? I intend to submit on January2nd hoping there will be no last minute modification in the forms by CIC.

Another question - Do I need to provide any pictures(passport size) to include in the application

Thanks a lot for your help!

Just be careful the forms you have sent don't get updated sometime in late December. CIC have a habit of periodically updating the forms to a new date which can be seen on the bottom left hand side of the forms.

If the forms are updated which they most likely will be then if you submit the old forms you may have your application returned back to you and miss the 5000 application limit because you have not sent the latest form.

I would be careful and monitor the forms to check updates and if no update then you can date the forms 2nd Jan 2015 and return them to CIC asap.

Hope that helps and good luck.

Could someone tell me how long they give parents to take medical exam. For instance they gave 90 days to submit additional documents.

Do they give 90 days for medical to be done by parents or is it 60 days.
Thanks in advance

60 days. Here is a quote from the letter:

"IMPORTANT: You are required to undergo the medical examinations within 60 days of the date of this
letter. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application.

I sent parents addition document on beginning of Oct 2014 too and haven't received any thing from CIC yet. Hopefully sometimes soon in Dec.
