In the letter sent to everyone in July 2014 requesting documents and other forms you will see it says "complete applications will be processed in the order in which they are received at the Case Processing Centre - Mississauga (CPC-M)".

For the most part at least the sponsorship approval have been done in order. Some have not but it may be because there was some individual reason for delay on a particular case. No one can say for sure how files are assessed. We can only try and speculate.

What date in sept/October did you post your documents. I think over 90% of people upto middle of sept have received sponsorship approval hopefully you will soon hear something.

The next stage waiting for medicals is even more unpredictable.

I think the timeline for sponsorship approval varies from case to case.
My documents were received on Sep 17, with an AOR Dec-01 I am still waiting for approval and file transfer. CIC have a Script to go with i.e. 6 months or within 6 months of the AOR date before any action can be taken. so they will not do anything about the file until the 6 months are over.
so there is no hard and fast rule , its just a matter of the officer reviewing the file , some take more time than other.

Hope everyone waiting will hear soon. Now I am praying that the medical will be accepted.

Heartiest congratulation for sponsorship approval & especially when Giles transferred to Ottaws. Forget about online cic processing period at Ottawa better ho through spreadsheet by Jeleni Ji you will observe that medicals have been asked from 25 days to maximum 2 months so enjoy that you have reached second stage. Wish you early medicals & PP

im new to this forum.my application is filled on july 2010 in family class and cic requested additional forms and PCC in july 2014 which was submitted by me in september 2014.i have two questions in my mind.
1. i am 25 and dependent on parents . will this effect my applications processing time?
2. will i get informed by cic by email or regular mail when my file will be transfer to new delhi ?

as long as you're 22 and under at the time of application and not married, then you're still possible to qualify... an as far as I know, all request are being sent via email...

Hey everybody,

Little bit of a weird quetion. I am a canadian my wife holds PR.

I wanted to bring my wifes parents on a visit visa is that possible? Who can sponcer she or I?

What is the process how long does it take and where can i get the applications for them send me a link plz?

Also can i apply throuh CIC in ottawa or mississauga?
