Hi Friends/Seniors,
I got passed out in 2006 with 64% in academics. Presently, i have 8+ yrs Experience as a developer from an Indian IT company.
Now i'm planning to apply for MS in any Canadian university.

1. Big question in my mind is whether they will approve my VISA?
2. What are all the ways that i can try to improve my chances to get student visa? (Kind of letters to convince them??)
3. I also got Business Visa to Canada which has validity still. Will this give me any advantage?
4. Can i try applying for this Spring,16. Still i got time?

Thanks
Raju

First of all, have you assesed yourself for express entry? You might get Direct PR

1. They will if you can explain and convince them how this MS will help you in India
2. Prepare your application with care, get admission in a reputed University. Attach a letter explianing your overall study plan. (Plenty of Sample SOP's on this forum)
3. Not much
4. Check for deadlines on University websites. Most of them have intake in September and January only

Hi GTO911,

Thanks for the reply.

I'm already in EE pool with 349 score. Since i don't have Master's got stuck at that score and even with good ielts score 8777 i'm not crossing 415. So, decided to opt for this.

1. They will if you can explain and convince them how this MS will help you in India
Any suggestions/ideas on this please?
2. Prepare your application with care, get admission in a reputed University. Attach a letter explianing your overall study plan. (Plenty of Sample SOP's on this forum)
Can you please provide me some sample SOP's, if possible?
3. Not much
4. Check for deadlines on University websites. Most of them have intake in September and January only
OK Thanks.

You have to write about this in your SOP, like what skills will this MS teach you and how these skills can help you in your career. How this MS can make you climb the career ladder and open up more opportunities

Can you please provide me some sample SOP's, if possible?

Thanks GTO911 for the help. One of my known consultancy people told me that if you are already in EE pool and if you are applying for Student Visa you might be considered as potential immigrant, which results in rejection of my student visa.
Any idea on this?

I'm already in EE pool and that's how i got to my EE score.

Hi GTO911/Other friends in this forum,
any idea on above posted question?

THanks in advance

TL;DR - No problem if you can prove that you genuinely want to study and will come back

Thanks GT, i owe you

Hi GT,
I know i'm bothering you. Nevertheless, Would you mind if i ask you how could i prove or show them that i'm going to come back and not going to stay anymore in canada after completion of my studies.

Because my application to PR shows that my strong intention to settle in Canada.

I'm working on how i can justify my case but end up with no ideas. Could you please provide me couple of ideas?

Thanks
Raju

Hi, you owe me nothing and definitely not bothering, we all are here to help each other

As we dont have interviews, we can only prove our genuine intentions through papers and SOP. What i can suggest in my limited experience is that you should attach a letter from your current employer that they are willing to re-hire you once you are back. Also if you dont have any blood relative in Canada helps a lot.

Think about anything you cant leave behind for Canada just yet and tell them about it. Anything that proves you have strong ties with India. But the most important of all is what benefits this study will give to you in India?

Its up to you, you know your conditions best. I think thats all you can do

BTW - The link i posted above is from CIC, it is cleared by CIC that any student having dual intent will not be refused just for dual intent. Dual intent student means having intention to study and subsequently settle in Canada. So prepare, apply, pray, chill
