if your a Damascus applicant but your file was transferred to Warsaw, is the processing time based on Damascus or Warsaw.

and you guys are saying that processing times are updated. What did those times used to be ?

Dear Colleagues,

I don't want to frustrate you but it seems that our applications will take longer than we expect. Please read the following link: http://www.cicnews.com/2012/01/canadian-immigration-questions-answers-david-cohen-5-011346.html
I don't know from where they got the information that backlog will be finished by 2017.

So live your days and plan for your future as you will never going to Canada.

Sorry for this bad news

Best Regards

i am planning to change my destination to Australia
does any one have information about how to start??

"While CIC has indicated it hopes to work through the backlog of FSW cases submitted before February 28, 2008, by the year 2017, there is no guarantee of this. We therefore encourage you to consider applying again to take advantage of the priority placed on newer applications. If you qualify, you can do this since you can submit multiple applications for permanent residency.
In general, you can apply for multiple programs or even the same program more than once. Remember that provincially-based programs have as a requirement the intent to settle in the particular province you are applying to. Once a selection decision has been made on one of your applications, you will have the choice of which application to abandon. Additionally, you can withdraw an application by contacting your regional Canadian visa office, and depending on what stage it is at in processing, you may be refunded your government application fee."

Hi guys
it is so disappointed ,frastrating, sad to hear such news ,I can hardly wait another year ,i can not immagen waiting till 2017 ,My God ,are they messing with people's lives

we are putting so many things on hold bearing in mind that we will move to Canada ,what are they doing ??

but if they are setting 2017 as the dead line for the backlog to be finished ,may be they are taking in consideration the worst cases like offices in some regins like islamabad and newdelhi which takes more than 100 months for processing the applications ,or may be they are spreading such news to increase the withdrawal of the old applications ,may be they took into cosideration people who applied in 2008

I do not know ,am i in denial now ,please guys HELP ???

Hi, do you hear this recently or not? Because in iranian forum no one received medical, and Warsaw is sending Med only for 29 category :(

Today, one of the Iranian received Medical. he sent his update docs on Oct.2010.
