I sent the following enquiry email to Ca. Embassy in Warsaw on Mar. 31, 2011:
"Dear Madam/Sir,
I am X (File X). I sent updated documents to you, which you received on Oct. 27, 2010. I have since been regularly checking out my status online but it's still "in process" and nothing has changed despite 4 months having passed since the update.
I am writing this email to inquire about the details of my status and also to make sure if you have sent the medical forms to me or not because the mailing system in India [I'm an Iranian residing in India now] can hardly be trusted and I've heard that medical forms might get lost on the way to the recipient.
Looking forward to your prompt response,
X"
And I received the following response:
"Applicant,
This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada and to your e-mail correspondence received by this office.
We acknowledge the receipt of your documents but as Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet, but do not exceed the immigration plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories than limits within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must stagger the issuance of visas throughout the year. As a result, we cannot advise you when your case will be ready for finalization.
As soon as we get the offical communication lines, we will advise.
Regards.
Immigration Section"
