Ali is right Ka3far, response might be within 1 week, but it might also take up to 6 weeks, I have a feeling that if it is taking longer maybe its better, maybe they are preparing the "Passport Request" letter for example

Ali I have the exact same line you mentioned, which does not help alot, however, reading from threads, I have noticed that Simplified Process Applicants (Applicants between September 2006 until February 2008 -New Rules Introduction-) have a line in their letter stating how much is expected for them to wait (Ex: 36 to 42 months).

Anyway, hoping to hear soon from them.

I sent through my lawyer early on Feb a Status Request, but still didn't get back an answer from CHC!! Is it offically published that it may take up to 6 weeks to reply to your requests?? Hope they are taking their time to include in the letter my medical's request

I think officially they say that they will reply as soon as possible, but the 6 weeks thing is what I concluded and read from other threads.

Youskal seems that he's striving to keep this thread alive.I have a question regarding the processing times. I read the processing times for some countries where they mentioned the number of months that applications will be finalized. My question: what do they mean by finalized? Is it the time when they started processing till the time of issuing the visa or till getting the medicals or till update letter?!

hi everybody.. does anyone have an idea how much time does it take to request the passports after the medicals ?????
its getting very very very frustrating.. its been 10 weeks and 5 days! i have also sent them an email about my status 2 weeks ago and have heared nothing !!
i will be very thankfull if someone will help me out ..

Hi Ka3far,

With Damascus CHC, it might take up to 4 months, but you can get the request anytime between this period.
IT also might take up to 6 weeks to reply on your inquiry.

7atamtelly ma3naweyaty !! why did many people recieve passport request in 8 weeks and 11 weeks ?? so you mean 4 month maximum ?? im a university student .. tomorow im gonna drop my courses befor the end of withdrawal period.. i dont want to pay the tuition and recieve pp request the next day !! why dont they put a specific time !!!!!!!
we are a family of 5.. might it take 5 month :O??? im so lost ..

i agree with youskal for the timings CHC Damascus set!!

I sent them an inquery throughy my lawyer 4 weeks ago and still no respond!! Hopefully will hear something good form them soon..

Hey Ka3far,

Sorry I didn't mean to do that with you :-[, bass unfortunatelly this is what's happening, even when you send your passport after the pp request, you might wait for 2 weeks, and you might wait for 4 months to get the passports back with visa stamped, at this stage it depends on the security checks.

By the way guys, I noticed something I honestly didn't know before, in the AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt) letter, CHC has mentioned to many poeple how much is expected for them to wait (example: 36 to 42 months), in mine its not mentioned.

What do you have on your AOR letter? (The one you received back in 2005? RIWA, ALI_GHG, Shima?)
and Hassan for your application i think it's differrent because the supposed waiting time for new applicants is 12 to 18 months, but is there anything mentioned about expectd waiting time?
