worst update ever. except for future ones these will be worst.

Well this is just great.... I don't know what to think of this.

We have quite a lot of 2005 applicants still waiting for the medicals so they are already in the ~80 months way past the previous 68.

Where would that leave us? 7 years, or maybe 8 years of waiting?

I sent an e-mail and inquired them about my medical and again I received the "staggering visa reply".

I wonder if they don't want to process us why they asked us about updating our docs at first place a year ago?

I can only think they don't act on their own agenda (the 68 or this 71 month timeline) but they do whatever CIC directs them to do.
We still have nearly half of 2006 applicants that haven't even received their update request.

I think the main reason for the update was that Warsaw didn't get your application from Damascus, I mean the actual paper application, and it is cheaper for them to make you redo all the work of gathering the documents and mail those to them than to mail the documents from Damascus. They saved a few hundred dollars in shipping off our backs.
I will be sure of this if Damascus never asks me for an update when they start processing my self employed application.

man if your analysis is true then it will take us couple more years for meds,
but i guess thats not the reason, its a government man, how come they dont spend some money for transfering documents, i dont think its the reason!!

I dont think so, if so, why they didn't ask the rest of 2006 applicants to send their credential, please try to think optimistically not giving false hope to anyone either

the proof is in the pudding, since I am still in Damascus if they ask me for updates in the near or far future then I will raise the 10, if they don't ask me for updates ever I will be back to bloat about being right.

i sent 2 enquiries because they did not reply the first one. They have not replied yet too!!
