Hi everyone, :) I just googled my question and found here. Wish I knew this forum earlier...
According to the calculator I'll meet the time requirements on June 30(I know, not the best luck) which is 20 days after when C24 will take place...
I did hear negative things about what happens when you apply early, but it's just been too long since I came to Canada(First came well over ten years ago, went to the states for 3 years, then came back 3+years)
Is it worth it to take the risk and apply now? I'm aware if you do so you'll have to meet the judge. What else can happen if I apply early?
Am i also going to waste my application fee?

I don't think it matters at this point. Today is the 10th of June, the last day for the 3/4 rule. So unless you live in Sydney, NS, and you can get the application delivered today at CIC's door, the application will get returned if reached tomorrow.

Where are you now? That's the important issue. Unless you live in NS yourself, you could get your application in today on same day service.

If you live outside NS, your application will not likely be able to make it to CIC's office in 9 hours. It's almost 8am there.

Have you even gotten your application completed, with supporting documentations along with your citizenship photos ready?

No - it has to be RECEIVED by CIC today to fall under the old rules. If you mail your application today, it will be received tomorrow or later and will fall under the new rules.

That is what I am trying to tell him/her. Unless the OP lives in NS, he/she has a slim chance of getting application in. VERY SLIM.

If he/she is just starting to complete the application today, chances are he/she won't make it. Photo shops are not open this early.

Apply under the new rules if you want to get your citizenship faster.

20 days (~3 weeks) short is a lot. Even if by some miracle you somehow managed to get your application delivered to CIC today, my gut feeling would be that it would be returned because you do not meet the citizenship requirements.

if you apply with 20 days less ,you will receive 100 % RQ and this make
a big delay in your application and you might not even get your citizenship.
do not do it just wait another year and apply with the new rule
