I have heard that it is easier to get PR doing a 2 year course which comes with a 3 year work permit compared to doing a 1 year course which has only a 1 year work permit.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

well it is always good and prudent to aim for 3 years PGWP. 2years vs 1 year course does not directly affect PR but PGWP can make a difference. that being said u can take two 1 year courses and still aim for 3 years PGWP. there r different PR programs(CEC, PNP FSW etc) and u should read their requirements to better understand the process. u should read about PR program requirements in various programs and see which one u would qualify for.
Also there is now new express entry system which u should read about too as it affects us all.
Thank you for the reply Mead,
Does this mean, I would be eligible to apply to alongside Express Entry while I also pursuing my studies at some college in Toronto.
If so, then the course durations would not matter?
