2 years since application... no test yet...

Hi
I applied for citizenship in May 2012. Last fall I received the Residence Questionnaire to fill out. I sent all the requested documents. I've been in Montreal, finished university studies and started to work in my field right away. I've only traveled outside the country for family vacations once or twice a year. It's been two years since the day I applied and I still haven't received a notice for the test or interview.

Whenever I call CIC they tell me the processing time might take up to 3 years. I'm still concerned because from what I see, everyone I know that had applied for citizenship had their test already... and their processing time was way shorter than 3 years.

Anyone out there in the same situation as me... still waiting for the test and interview after 2 or more years?

Thank you.

I applied a year before you (My 2011) in Montreal, got RQ before test, and was only called to do the test in March 2014 at 34 months after my application. So, sorry to say, this is perfectly possible... I'm still waiting for the oath!

Of course, things were specially bad for people who go RQs in 2012. Your RQ is later and you have better chances of finishing the process faster than I.

I've applied 33 months ago in 2011 and no test so far... Been told not to call them again until 36 months passes.

We applied in Aug 2011, I got the RQ in June 2012, we took our tests in March 2014 and our oath ceremony was in April 2014.

Sometimes it just takes a long time.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
There is no set timeline for the Process.
The listed times on the website are just averages, and CIC is not liable to meet them.
A simple 'Cherry Picking' process is followed...
I've been waiting for over 3 years after sitting for my test and submitting the RQ.

Good Luck!

I applied December 2011. My test date is June 2014 who knows when my oath will come around.

Even I applied in Oct 2012 and my file was transferred to Surrey office in August and got Finger Print request in beginning of September 2013 which I got it done immediately.
I have not heard anything since then. N march 2014, I called CIC call center and they told me to wait till June this year. but so far nothing. In may end, I called CIC call center and agent did not provide any info and said that processing time is 36 months
I do not what is going on.
