Sometimes it could be an error made by an officer. I got only 1 yr PGWP even after doing 2 one year programs. I did some research and found out that it’s not new that they may make an error. I’ve read comments from 2012 and recently in 2022 my case. I got approval on Sept 29, 2022 and i applied on may 12, 2022. I was disappointed a lot when I saw I only got 1 yr work permit while all my other friends who did same 2 separate course of one year of each got 3 yrs. I called ircc, after 5 calls finally 1 was connected. I described my situation and officer asked me if I submitted all my transcripts and certificates. I said I submitted everything. She put me on a hold for 20 minutes and said it’s seems like an error from our end. She confirmed that i’ve submitted everything i supposed to. She said I will send an internal message to office and we’ll reconsider your application. She mentioned it may take upto four weeks. And finally today I got my new work permit for 3 years.
