2 week stay

Hi!

So all I have is a few simple questions really. I'm coming over from England on vacation for 2 weeks to visit my boyfriend and his family. At the moment, I have £600 in my bank, which converted will be over 1000 CAD.

For a 2 week stay, where I will be staying with my boyfriend and his family (I have a letter of invitation stating I will be staying with them and they'll be providing for me during my stay), will that be enough money? They have already stated that I most likely won't really need to spend any money while I'm there, as again, they will provide for me, the only time I might need to spend money is if me and my boyfriend go out to dinner or something.

Additionally, as I have a job here in the UK, obviously I'm entitled to a monthly pay at the end of every month. Estimated, I will have about £800 more come in (converted I estimate over 1400 CAD), but it will come in during my stay (22nd March - 5th April, payday will be the last weekday before april 1st). Do I need to explain this to CBSA, or should I withhold that information unless they say i dont have enough/ask if i have any money/financial support from back home if i need it? I do not want them to be under the impression that I have worked illegally while I'm there to earn that money, as i'm coming SOLELY for a vacation/visit and intend to return back to the UK and continue working there, and the money that i'll get will be everything i have earned during the hours i worked this month before my flight.

Another question - should I convert money in my bank to cash (CAD) before fly, or am I able to convert it there? Or am I able to pay with my bank card while IN Canada (it's a VISA)

This next question isn't AS relevant, but does anyone have any tips on how to reduce jet lag/help it go away faster? Any advice would be appreciated as ive never flown before as the time zone change will be BIG (5 hour difference), so again if anyone knows at least what to expect that would be wonderful :)

Thank you!
