2 sem (8 month) PG course = 1 yr PGWP?

8 month or 2 semesters long Post Graduate certificate/diploma course (Ontario Graduate Certificate). Is this elig. for 1 yr PGWP? Please advise.

It may only be issued for 8 months.

I’m not an expert..what I’ve heard is that 8 months is considered as 1 academic year and for 1 yr course 1yr of pgwp is granted. Whereas, if you do 2 courses of 1-1 yrs, then you’ll get wp for 3 yrs.

What length you are granted, is completely up to IRCC’s officer who handles your specific case. There is no real value in comparison to other people.

If you do 8 months program then you get a max of 1year pgwp
