2 questions - living history and letters of support for relationship

1) I've moved a lot in the past 10 years so getting my entire living history is proving to be complicated. I've managed to get exact dates on 80% of it, but not so much luck on the rest. How exact do I need to be, month wise. I know the year but I can't pin down months.

2) We need at least 2 letters in support of our relationship saying it's true and honest. Since they need to be signed by a commissioner of oath should they be written a certain way or should the be more personal letters from the person saying what they know about our relationship? And who exactly counts as a commissioner of oath?

1. Do your best on the dates, but most importantly be consistent so there are no gaps in your history.
2. The letters can take any form but need to cover some basic information (how they know you, that they know about the relationship and how they know it, and some statement that they believe it to be true, genuine, real, etc).

Basically the Commissioner of Oaths is someone authorized to witness and certify the signature and identity of the person signing the letter. I'm from the US and we call them Notary Publics. They can be found in banks, law offices, some Service Canada locals (if the person writing the letter is in Canada), and sometimes in copy/business centers.

I can send you a copy of what I wrote to friends and family asking for such letters if you want. Just PM me.

I'm still utterly confused by these letters and getting a commissioner of oath to sign one.

Is there something specific I need to write in addition to the letter for the commissioner to sign? Something to the effect of I <Name> swear this to be true and was sworn before <commissioners name> on <date?>

Does it matter what format it's in? Bullet points? A personal letter?

a public notary should b able to do it also...ours r personal letters and the notary had no problem signing it....all it happens the person who wrote the letter will sign in front of the notary and then the notary will write something like: declared in front of me on this date, the notary will write his name also, will sign it, and will put his notary stamp

the letters could b long short it does not matter...it's a testimonial abt ur relationship, that it's genuine, how long that person know each of u, how they met each of u, and also very important that u live together and since when if s/he knows (if u apply under common-law)....they could also state some events spent together, holidays, how they visit ur home, if u went to trips with them, it's up to them

u could also give letters from professionals, ur doctor, someone at ur bank, ur boss, these letters probably r more formal and to the point....but they too shold know both of u as a couple...

PM me if u want more details

read more the OP2 manual, there r many ideas there :) good luck!!
