Hi all,
I have 2 questions, unrelated to each other.
1. I have applied for passport renewal prior to applying for CEC (applied for CEC on 19-SEP-14), applied with the passport I had (expiring one) and then received my new passport later. I have received my application number yesterday.
The question is: when and how do I send a copy of my new passport to CIC? I called CIC todday and the person on my phone told me to send email to CIC and when I sent email, I got automatic message that it can take up to 35! business days to get a reply.
Do I need to send the copy of my new passport now or wait till reply to my email/CIC demands it?
2. Me and my fiance are not married and have not declared common law. However, we live together, own an house, mortage and bank accounts together. Since we never declared common law, I filed as single. We have our wedding scheduled for this August.
The question is: when and how should I notify CIC regarding my future change in marital status?
Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it.
