2 Pieces of ID for minors

Hello all,
I am currently gathering documents for citizenship application for me and my family. I have 1 query regarding 2 pieces of ID for minors:

I need 2 pieces of ID for kids one of them must contain pictures of them. School record and health card does not have the picture and my kids passport expired last year. Therefore which ID can I use for my kids. I have identification cards of them from my home country can I use them as my 2nd ID? Your suggestions are requested.

The instructions clearly states "
Two (2) pieces of the child’s personal identification

Both pieces of identification should show your child’s name and date of birth, one of which must have a photo on it.

Note: You cannot use your child’s permanent resident card as identification.

So I would use
1. With photo (Passport)
2. Health Card

Of course it does. If you don't have another photo ID, you need to renew the passport.
