Hi,
I have submitted my visitor visa application since 2nd April but till now still waiting for the decision.
Do not really know why it has been taken so long.

I am currently hold SPOUSE Leave to remain UK visa ( not married, just in common-law with my partner ). So I filled 'common-law' in my marital status. So is it right?
But I did not submit the IMM 5409 form" Statutory declaration of common law union" . As I thought it was only applied for co-singer.... Does it cause to delay my application processed?
I do fill my partner details in the Family Form as he is my common law relationship and travel with me to Canada. ( all of my flight tickets has both our name)....

My partner is currently hold Indefinite Leave to Remain UK visa, and still waiting for the neutralisation letter. And our flight to Canada is in August, so we wondering should he also apply TRV Canadian visa as well (just in case the letter came late and do not have enough time do the British passport and eta )?
If he should, should we fill he is under common law relationship with me ( same as what I did in my application) ? /// OR put as single as his UK visa is independent.... Because seems like put in common law takes longer time to processed an application....

We both have separate funds for the trip.

There is not much information in term of common law on the official webstie so it is really hard for me to looking for information :(

I hope anyone here can help us out.

Thank you very much

You would apply for an ETA. Assume he is not visa exempt. He would apply for his own TRV. In his application he would declare that he is in a common law relationship (vs single or married). Just to warn you that he may struggle to get a visa to visit Canada. Is he likely to get his uk citizenship soon? If not I would apply for the TRV now because it could take some time or he may get refused.

Hi, he is still need to wait for the decision from UKVI. regarding to the marital status, if he put in common law relationship, does he need to submit IMM 5409 form" Statutory declaration of common law union" ??? If need, we do not have anyone who administered the declaration as it need to be either Notary Public or Commissioner of Oaths/Taking Affidavits,,,, how it could be done? I do not get that point....
