1st application denied - personal asset and financial status

Hi!
im new to this community so please help.
my girlfriend got denied for her 1st tourist visa application.
the only reason was PERSONAL ASSET AND FINANCIAL STATUS.
we were planning for her to stay for 2 months.

she has given certificate of employment and a statement of bank account. we put a large amount of money in her account 200,000 pesos (roughly 4500$) in one deposit so im not sure if thats the reason
she doesnt have any properties to declare so those are the only thing she can provide

My dad and i provided an invitation letter which also stated that we will provide for everything (ticket, housing, food etc). we also provided bank accounts to prove that we can support my girlfriend in her stay here

i do not know what else to provide as we have provided everythng for that issue.
how do we tackle the reason of trv rejection and how do we prove that she will leave canada before visa expires.
pls help and thank you

Hey there! Sorry about your refusal..

The large sum of money deposited into her account might be an issue. When CIC sees a large deposit like that, they can assume and think that the money is not really hers (for example, you just took some of your money and deposited there to make it look like she has that cash available). If that money was earned by working and getting paid cash for instance, you should explain that.

That is what we did when my significant other applied for his visa (and got approved). Before we started the process he did not have a bank account (which is pretty common here in Central America). People get paid in cash and keep that money at home. So we opened an account and deposited the money bit by bit, and explained that in his intent letter.

As for the personal asset situation, if she does not have any it will be hard to address it. But maybe take another look at your entire application and tweak some details, add more information etc.. Just that can make a difference.

Is her job in her country of residence enough to prove that she's gonna come back and leave canada? and how much money did your significant other have in the bank before you apply?
And the intent letter is from your significant other, which is different from letter of invitation? I don't think my girlfriend provide an intent letter, so what should it contain? Thanks!

No good job that can be considered a tie will give a 2 month leave to a needed employee.... so that means she doesn't have good ties to her country of residence and is more likely to try to immigrate to Canada.

Also 4500 CAN is not enough for 2 months. She has to prove she can take care of herself on her own. What you and your family provide comes after this is tackled.

The employment alone might not be enough to prove ties back home, but is that's all you have, make sure you give as much proof as possible about it! Get a letter from her employer stating her salary, how long she's been working there and that they approve her time off to go to Canada. Make sure there are specific dates for the vacation. Other things to prove ties back home are: lease agreement with landlord, future appointments or events, any charity or volunteering commitments, family situation etc..

Yes, a letter of intent from the applicant is a really good idea. It must be detailed and precise. It should contain the dates of travel, where she will stay, why she wants to go etc. It should also elaborate on her ties back home if necessary. It is a good idea to provide a detailed itinerary of her trip (day by day if necessary). As for the amount of funds available, it depends. If you and your family will be covering her expenses, this should be clearly stated in your letter and hers. In our case, we made a budget to show that my boyfriend would have enough money to cover his expenses such as entertainment, restaurants, personal effects etc.. As we were covering housing and food costs. He showed just over 4000$CAD in his account.

Is 10,000 CAD enough for my stay about 6-8 weeks? My boyfriend will undertake my other expenses. About the strong ties, i have my daughter here and she will stay with my aunt while i'm working at Dubai. I don't have property. I don't know the other things that i should include to strong my ties here in my country. Can you please give me some advice. I want to know it in advance so that i know what to do in the future.

How much did you show in personal funds? Did you pay first year tuition? Length of program? What is a company certificate?
