My husband’s 19 year old child from a former relationship is NOT accompanying. He has his own life, and his mother is actually in the process of sponsoring him to the USA where she lives. My step son had been raised by his maternal grandmother. I fear this will be a difficult to handle, he will it want to take time off from work to do medical. And will be uncooperative. I understand why cic asks for this info and why he must do. But are there exceptions like perhaps he signs and letter waiving himself from ever being sponsored by his dad. This is a 19 year old man.
