Hello guys!

I am confused about my situation. I'm not sure if I'm already in the CEC or not.

I have already 1560 hours, obtained part-time for the first 4 months then I was fill time for 10 months. I already have the 1560 hours but I did not obtain them in 12 months. Am I still eligible or do I have to wait for 24 months to be eligible?

Thank you very much for your help!

full time months would be equivalent to 1 whole month, while your 1 month part will be consider as 1/2 month.Based on CEC you need to get 1560 for 1 year under full time or 2 years for part time.

So does this mean I need to wait to complete 2 years before I can submit my application? I already have the 1560 hours.

Cheers!

You should have 1560 hours in last 3 years. In your case you have 1560 hours in the last 14 months so you are good to apply.

Minimum requirements
You must: have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply,

The weeks when you didn't reach 30 hours will be counted as part-time which means half-week. All the weeks when you reached 30 hours of work will be counted as full-time, one complete week.
The two can be combined.

The eligibility requirement is for one year (52 weeks) of full time work, or the equivalent in part-time work.

You should treat the part-time work and the full-time work as different jobs.

Part-time is defined as working fewer than 30 hours per week. Add up the hours for the part-time work, divide by 30 - that will give you your full-time equivalent (FTE) number of weeks.

For the full-time (FT) work, you do NOT count hours. That is because FT is defined as "30 or more" hours per week. So if you (for some reason) wanted to count hours, you could count a maximum of 30 hours per week.

Then add the weeks together. You need 52 weeks (FT + FTE) to be eligible.
