Hi Seniors
I completed my Masters in October 9 2022 before time and my study permit is expiring in November 30 2023.
I got acceptance letter to same university in Phd program on 23 January 2023 and begin classes on January 26,2023. It sounds strange but it happened the process of admission was delayed.

Is my study permit valid under the 150 day rule or did it expire after 90 day of my masters degree completion?
i never applied to extend it as my understanding is that it is valid until November 2023 based on the date written on it.
It automatically expired within 90 days of your graduation on October 9. It is whatever comes first so your permit expired months ago. You have now been studying (and maybe working) without a permit. You must stop studying and working and apply for a new study permit.

Thanks, if my university gives me a letter stating that i was allowed to attend classes from January 1 2023. And the delay in my acceptance is due to official delays will it help counter the 90 day rule if im correct 90 days pass in 6 January 2023. I have paid fee for entire winter term.
No a letter will not do it. It is now April and your permit expired over 3 months ago. And you want to ask your university to commit misrepresentation on your behalf. Your acceptance letter states January 23. The university cannot change anything.

You have to stop studying and working. You should have extended your permit as soon as you graduated anyways to maintain status. You have been without status (illegal) since January. You need to change your status to visitor and reapply for a study permit. Not sure what you were thinking when you knew your program finished in October and you would need status to remain in Canada.

And working too. Your study permit expired on January 1 (or around then). If you had extended your study permit by the end of December, you could have continued studying on implied status until a decision was made. Now you are out of status and in Canada illegally. You need to change status to visitor and reapply for a study permit.
