Try to get
Speaking reading and writing 7
Listening 8

That will give u a total of 128 points for Ielts.

Thank you .

What about TEF . Currently I am preparing to get TEF maybe in Feb or so .

Do you know how much points they award for TEF .

Many Thanks

Thank you ,

Actually , it seems something very difficult to get the required score unless I am already in Canada and have a job offer or I have a degree from a Canadian university ! :(

Lets observe the logic

Any person can get maximum of 481 crs if he is outside Canada. This is practically not achievable because no one can score 136 in IELTS. My score is 133 though. So this means all a person can score being outside Canada is something around 461 practically.

So All rounds which says above crs 461 means no Outsider is selected or just one o 2 are selected from outside Canada.

Now Express Entry Wants to take people who are outside Canada. And all those who are outside canada and getting good crs are between 420 and 470 crs. more being in range of 440 -450. The highest outsiders crs is average 445.

So lets assume an average of 445 is the outsider. So Express Entry scores will be always less than 445 in future. Once the lot of people in Canada has applied than the crs 445 will become benchmark. Which means all those above 400 will always be in hot list in 2016 and mostly all will get ITA above 400.

This is not true,

I got ITA with 474 without my Spouse's ECA. If he had evaluated his Degree, we would have ended up with a score of 484.

This is the breakdown of my score:

Age - 100
Level of Education - 126
First Official Language - 128
Spouse First Official Language - 20
Skills Transferability (Education) - 50
Skills Transferability (Foreign Work Experience) - 50

The points I missed are explained below:
Phd instead of Masters - 126 + 14 = 140
Second official langauage if I had taken french 0+22 = 22
Spouse Level of Education if spouse had got his ECA - 0+10=10
The total points I missed are 14+22+10 = 46
Add this to my score of 474 +46 = 520

Hello,

I need some help! I received an ITA in the 15th draw, however I dont think I can accept it at the moment since i need to get PCC from FBI (for my stay in USA) and that will take 90 days. Meanwhile I have only 60 days to submit documents. I am at a loss and have no idea what to do. If i decline my ITA now, what are the chances that I will be selected again? Any help will be great!

@Asivad - Eagerly waiting for your advice.

Thank you

you can upload a letter of explanation (including proof) that you have applied for your FBI PCC.

A friend of mine did that and his application got rejected in a month after he applied. He got back in the pool now ... So , i don't think a letter of explanation will help :(

Let's.

Any person can get maximum of 481 crs if he is outside Canada.

No, someone outside Canada can score up to 520 points.

This is practically not achievable because no one can score 136 in IELTS.

You can do CELPIP instead if you like.

I got a 12/12/12/12. My wife got 12/12/12/11. Both of those are above CLB 10, so we get 136 points.
We also took the IELTS. I got a 9.0/8.0/8.5/9.0. My wife got 9.0/9.0/8.0/9.0. Both of us get CLB10, for 136 points another way.

Don't say people can't do it. Many can.

My score is 133 though. So this means all a person can score being outside Canada is something around 461 practically.

We weren't CEC. Neither of us has any Canadian work experience (that counted for immigration). We lost points for age. The score still came to 471. Although we're here in Canada, it wouldn't have made the slightest difference for immigration.

So All rounds which says above crs 461 means no Outsider is selected or just one o 2 are selected from outside Canada.

As of July 6, 2015, there were One Thousand, Two Hundred, and Fifty Seven outland applicants who had been selected. In addition, many of the inland applicants are cases like my wife and I where cases where we didn't get any extra points for being in Canada, rather, that's just where we happened to be.

Now Express Entry Wants to take people who are outside Canada. And all those who are outside canada and getting good crs are between 420 and 470 crs. more being in range of 440 -450. The highest outsiders crs is average 445.

Where are you getting this 445 from?

So lets assume an average of 445 is the outsider.

Why would we assume that?

So Express Entry scores will be always less than 445 in future.

They might be, but there's no reason they must be so. The job bank (when it goes live) provides a really easy way to bring in foreigners without the need to drop the score. Make it easy for employers to get LMIAs, and the score can stay nice and high ... forever, should they so choose.

Once the lot of people in Canada has applied than the crs 445 will become benchmark. Which means all those above 400 will always be in hot list in 2016 and mostly all will get ITA above 400.

They are looking to double the number of international students. Since 85% of the people selected by Express Entry are in Canada, and many international students are looking to earn P/R, one could argue that there likely will be a significant growth in CEC. At that point, the pool of "people in Canada" will never be exhausted, as those individuals that get Permanent Residency will be replaced by freshly graduated (and working) students.

Hi ,

Foreign work experience Points per factor
(Maximum 50 points)
With good/strong official languages proficiency (Canadian Language Benchmark [CLB] level 7 or higher) and foreign work experience 50
With Canadian work experience and foreign work experience 50

It appears you should get 50 points as your clb is more than 7.

Do you have any Canadian work experience?
