15 additional days for submission

Hi,

I had received ITA on 19th Oct so my deadline for submission is 19th Dec which is 4 days away. I have all the documents ready except the PCC which is to be expected for tomorrow. However, in case I dont get ti tomorrow then I will receive it next week by that time my ITA and EE profile will expire.

I'm seeing that instead of 4 days left to submit its showing as 19 days for submission, I know due to some issue the people who received ITA before 19th Nov were granted additional 15 days. However, I havent received any message in account or any such email. I'm in a tough spot at the moment as I dont know if these 15 days are indeed applicable to my account. Please advise what should I do as if I have really have additional 15 days then I'll be able to submit my profile easily. I am not able to contact CIC also via any email as they dont have any, I did submitted a web form related to processing time of application on IRCC page but not sure they will respond as its related to already submitted applications.

Any help here would be really appreciated.

1. If it shows 19 days, you have 19 days. There is no real reason to doubt the system.

2. If you are still paranoid, you may choose to submit your application anytime within the next 4 days and submit an LOE to highlight your inability to procure the PCC right now, apologize for the same, attach relevant documentation to prove that you have indeed applied for the said PCC and request for some extension so that you may receive and upload the PCC.

Thanks for your reply. My only reason to doubt was that I haven't received any message or mail and few people on the forum were suggesting not to rely on this extension as in case of any issue there won't be any good point in arguing with CIC.

Take screenshots of that, they will come in handy in case of any disputes.

However, I do not foresee there being any trouble. I would be very suspicious if you were the ONLY one reporting these additional 15 days. Is that the case?

I have taken screenshot an even submitted on the IRCC page while filling the web form, though I haven't receive the reply. There are many other people who have received thi extension but I don't know if anyone has submitted their application after the initial 2 months deadline.

Let's see if anyone shows up on this thread then. It's named appropriately enough - wait for a few hours to see if anyone else contributes here.

What's already reassuring is that multiple people have reported the same event which leads one to believe that it was a legit occurrence not some bug in the system. Let's wait for more opinions though before concluding here.

Apparently OP didn't get that mail. I'm not unduly worried about that, could've gone to spam or somewhere.

Would you agree that the OP has an EXTRA 15 days for application submission exactly as it shows up on their MyCIC? And would you further recommend that they delay submission by a few days (of course, not beyond the 19 days that they have left) until getting their PCC so that they can submit a complete application instead of attaching an LOE to explain the missing PCC?

I am not a fan of taking risks, so if all the documents including the pcc arrive in the next 36 hours, I would upload it then and not use the 15 days, especially if they don't have the email they could submit with the LOE as a backup explanation.

Prudent. A tad overcautious but prudent nonetheless.

However, consider that the absence of said mail hasn't made the slightest difference to the reality of having 15 extra days magically showing up in MyCIC. To reverse the argument for a second, I would be extremely concerned and hesitant if OP had received a mail and there was no corresponding change to MyCIC because that would be hard to explain to anyone. In this case though, I would imagine that the active presence of those EXTRA 15 days in MyCIC would be inspiring confidence (and possible rejoice!) in their reality rather than bemoaning the absence of an email which, in all likelihood, is blissfully unaware of the distress it's absence has caused to OP while it rests somewhere in cyberspace for all eternity.

Additionally, one may argue that a screenshot of MyCIC showcasing those 15 extra days (without the supporting email) is far more of a clinching evidence than an email promising those 15 days (without the supporting 15 extra days in MyCIC). I would be comfortable accepting the reality of those extra days but that's just me. OP's call.

Just to update, I was in government office a few minutes back the official here are so rude and lazy which not really a surprise in India. Even after explaining all the situation, they are delaying their own work. In all likelihood, I don't think I'll get the PCC tomorrow which means I'll get it in next week. So I'll have to rely on these additional 15 days.

It'll make me feel better if someone can confirm who has submitted their application after initial deadline.

I have received the email with information about 15 additional days to be added to all active applicants who received ITA before Nov. 19. Don`t worry - it is completely legit and if you need this time, then why not take it? If you want, DM me your email address and I will forward you the CIC email so that you have the information they provided. Cheers!

Rejoice... I have found the mail just as Asivad suspected. It went to the spam! I'm feeling way too much relaxed now, was stressed a lot from past couple of days! Still I'll keep a follow-up with the government office so that I get it in next week anyhow.
