I am sponsering my wife under family class. We submitted our application on april 14, 2023. My wife has completed all criminal record checks, medical, biometrics... It was moving along quick at the begining but now we are at a stand still. We have not received any status updates on our application since september 19th 2023; so almost 9 months.. Our application is in mexico city and they don't believe in responding to webforms. I contacted a local mp to reach out to ircc but they only told her that our application is in que. I called ircc in ottawa and they say they have no info because the application is outside of canada. They suggested to send feedback, which I did 3 times- also without a response.Basically getting the run around with no answers on our application. At this rate this could take 3 years. It says on the website 12 months but its total b.s. What do I have to do? Get a lawyer after already waiting 14 months.
