1. (1) For the purposes of paragraph 10.2(1)(b) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, the number of invitations that may be issued during the period beginning on January 13, 2016 and ending on January 14, 2016 is 1,518.

(2) Foreign nationals who, on January 13, 2016 at 12:59:27 UTC, have been assigned a total of 453 points or more under the Comprehensive Ranking System that is set out in the Ministerial Instructions Respecting the Express Entry System, as published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on December 1, 2014 and as amended from time to time, occupy the rank required to be invited to make an application for permanent residence.

Carrying forward the same trend from 2015. Back to back draws pushing the cutoff down to 450s.

However, if they don't do another draw in Jan, cutoff will rise for the Feb draw. CIC still holds the reins tight here.

This is superb news. If CIC goes with this rate consistently, then we should have 4 draws every month and the cut-off will surely drop.
