IRCC did not give me any reason for the delay after 12,13,14 and 15 months ...

Oh my gosh. That is not fair at all. Have you done the test yet or they haven’t given you a test date?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but if you contact or email MP will that make a difference? I heard you can and they can help?

I got my test invite a week ago after 15 months - I have contacted MP since last August and about every other month since then, not sure if it helped at all since it took 6 months to see any results, there’s no telling of whether it’s just an coincidence or it actually worked...

So finally I got test invite for 30th January, Scarborough after 13 months. I am a November 2017 applicant. But my husband still did not get a test invite and he is october 2017 applicant.
I applied with my son who is a minor. Should i take him on the test day with me. Nothing was mentioned about him in the e-mail for the test invite.
My test is at 8:15 AM in Scarborough. I live in Mississauga. At what time should I leave my home in order to reach Scarborough office half hour before the test.
TIA

I guess as soon as you finish the test and pass, they’ll DM you next day and then oath invite maybe 1 week after. I think they finished all the background check and stuff for you.

However for my husband background check still in process. He finished his test on October 11 2018.. since then in process. Hopefully we don’t pass the 12 month mark. I don’t know if it’s just Ottawa slow or just my husband. :(

What are you doing regarding this..Did you call IRCC? What did they tell you? What do you think the reason till now not getting test invite?
I did everything in terms of contacting every person possible at that side. Only thing left is to hire a lawyer, but people are saying it won't help too.

Be glad you both have already taken the test.
There are many people waiting for the test invitation that hit the 12-months mark... and nothing :p.
I'm one of them.

Oh my gosh. Where are you located? Have you tried contacting MP?

They didn’t give you test invite?

And where are you located?

What has the MP office said. Surely they've checked in on your file.
The MP's office would find the same info as you would by calling IRCC. At least that's my experience. According to the lady from my MP's office, they used to have direct contact with the local IRCC officers and were able to push it forward a bit for the cases they were inquiring, but it has changed in recent years and they are no longer able to do that. So basically contacting MP is like having someone else calling IRCC for you so you don't need to wait for 30 minutes listening to the IRCC music

Hello itsmyid,
congratulations on getting the test invite! really happy for you. btw, did you receive your PR Card, mine was sent on Dec 17th but I haven't received it yet. I also called IRCC just now to inquire about both my PR Card and citizenship and they had the same old shit, my background checks are still going on for my citizenship and they have no idea how long it will take to complete those checks. For PR Card she asked me to wait for another week and if I don't receive it by next Monday then I can send them the solemn declaration that I have not received my Pr card after six weeks so they can issue a replacement card. What an incompetent office.

Thanks!
My PR was sent about 2 weeks earlier than yours ( that was when Canada Post was still on strike), and it was delivered after almost 4 weeks in the first week of this month. So yours does seem to take longer than mine, hopefully you will get it soon - Canada Post is probably as random as IRCC, we never know how their order of things works ...

Wishing everyone a speedy processing for their citizenship applications.

I officially became a Canadian citizen yesterday after exactly 13 months from the time they acknowledged receipt of my application on Dec 11, 2017. This frustrating journey IS OVER. This forum did help a LOT especially with the ATIP process and contacting MPs etc. :):):)
